Sans End RV Park (55+ Park), Winterhaven, California

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very friendly. The park undergoing overdue maintenance, so it is still in need of some upgrades. It has dirt roads and a water truck comes by watering the roads to keep dust down. that makes for mud along the streets. Wifi is only a $1/day, but reception is spotty. You need to take your computer close to the office to get reliable service. I was only able to connect once at my site in the 7 days we were there. there is a park table close to the office where I observed people sitting with their computers. Very pet friendly, and they have a pet walk area, but no off leash area.
Overall, I would recommend the park to others, but just be aware that it is not an "upscale" park, but the price is good. It is an over 55 park, so no children are there. Park has activities scheduled, and folks are pretty laid back. We selected the park because of it's close proximity to the Mexican border. We camped at Sans End RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Mammoth Mountain RV Park, Mammoth Lakes, California

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Park is pricey, (price includes tax). They charge an additional $5/night for each pet. I called ahead for reservations, and was told just come on in (arriving the following day), they had plenty of spaces available. When I arrived, and requested a 50 amp space, it seems they had limited space. I did get a space, but was told I had to move if I stayed more than 2 days. Fifty amp spaces have large pine trees, 30 amp spaces are just a big parking lot. They do have a lot of amenities, pool, spa etc. Tourist area, so they know you come here expecting to spend money, and they do all they can to meet your expectations. We camped at Mammoth Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Paradise Shores RV Park, Bridgeport, California

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Roomy spaces, park is all gravel. Upper parking is pretty level, lower area, (nearest the water) slopes, and you probably need blocks when leveling. Very friendly people, great area. I have 3 dogs and it was great to be able to take them away from campground, near the lake, and turn them loose to run. Trout are stocked in the lake and neighboring creeks. Great fishing. Will return here next year. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park, Carson City, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Pictures on the web site do not show how "tight" this park is. It is more a parking lot than an RV park. Our unit is 39' and we barely fit into a space. Couldn't put our awning out because the neighboring rig is too close. The dog park is little more than a 30 by 6 feet. sand pit. Would not return to this park, ever! We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park, people, and pet friendly. Facility very clean and well maintained. Wide spaces. Our back in was 70 feet long. Extended our stay. Casino with a very good restaurant is just a short walk from the park. It is no longer owned by Terrible Herbst company. Will return here in the spring.
