Creekside RV Park and Campground, Chappell, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park, full hookups, level. The owner is an elderly gentleman who is a delight. He's friendly as can be as well as being a Cracker Jack woodworker. He took us around to his shop where he builds Adirondack chairs designed for older folks who have trouble getting getting out of traditional Adirondack chairs. The only drawback is there is a Union Pacific dual track main line that passes close by and a crossing adjoining the property. It does get a little noisy at times. It's still a great spot. We camped at Creekside RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Webster Sturbridge Family Campground, Webster, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If you're looking for the city dump, this is it. I have never seen a park as trashed as this one.

The handicap ramp has several boards missing and it's not useable.

The swimming pool looks like dismal swamp or maybe an algae experiment for the local high school.

When I checked in there was a styrofoam container on the counter with a fork on top of it. The next morning the container was on the railing outside the office. The trash can in the office was overflowing and there was trash on the floor.

The laundry has two large cages with large birds in them. The floor around them was littered with whatever falls out of the cages.

It's a beautiful location which has been left to deteriorate. It doesn't speak well of the owners however nice they may seem. This gross neglect doesn't happen overnight. We camped at Webster Sturbridge Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lobster Buoy Campsite, South Thomaston, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The only thing I can rave about is the ocean view. Spectacular.

The sites are only 30 amps.

In the brochure you get when you check in, it tells you about all the things they will throw you out of the park for, such as, no a/c, electric heater, generator, what types of cords you must use, no more than one dog (we saw several people with two)' and that's not the complete list.

Although they tell you they try to keep rates low, they could weed whack around all of the ramshackle trailers in the park and around the buildings to make the place look more appealing.

$25 charge if you dump when you arrive and then a free dump every three days even if it's your blue tank. They reserve the right to inspect your drain hoses too.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when you got to the shower, then and only then you find you have to pay for them too and there is nothing that says how much they cost or how long they run.

I don't believe we will be returning. We camped at Lobster Buoy Campsite in a Travel Trailer.

Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Way overpriced for what they have to offer. Sites aren't long enough to stay hooked up for early departure , nor are they level enough to remain hooked up. (Had to raise the tongue over eight inches more than normal.) We camped at Jefferson County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Red Ledge RV Park, Kanarraville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Park is small but don't let that deter you. You can get in. The restrooms and laundry are clean. There are cabins, tent sites, gas grill, fire pit, hot tub, hammock, and patio for your use during your stay. Movies are for rent in the office. Wi-Fi is available. While the park is a little run down, the NEW owners are working extremely hard to correct it. The owner/manager more than makes up for any problems you may have. Her personality is just great, we love her. The park is also very quiet. We originally planned to stay for 3 days and wound up spending 6 weeks. The park is very convenient to Zion NP and other attractions. Our plan is to return in the fall. We camped at Red Ledge RV Park in a Motorhome.
