Imagination Mountain Camp-Resort (formerly Great Smoky Jellystone Camp, Cosby, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We were passing through and were looking for a site for one night, late at night. When we called, the owners invited us to pull in as they had availability. By phone we were directed to a site that would be easy to back into. The owner came to check on us. The owners and staff were very, very kind. We had a clean site right on the stream. All amenities appeared in a good state. It was quiet. Because of time of the year. and midweek. there were few campers.I suspect it could feel a little crowded if it was full because the sites are close together. We would highly recommend this campground as a base for Gatlinburg excursions. We camped at Imagination Mountain Camp-Resort (formerly Great Smoky Jellystone Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Bull Shoals - White River State Park, Bull Shoals, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

A gem of a campground. May rank in our top three places we have ever stayed. Fantastic site right on the river. Plenty of space. Clean, clean, clean. Common areas are beautiful. Bath houses are new and very clean. Welcome office and shop at trout dock are well staffed and you can get what you need. Natural surroundings are so nice. The river is the main attraction, but there are also several nature trails. There is an upscale resort close by with a nice restaurant, and while it is privately owned, their nature trails are open to the public as well. Bull Shoals Lake offers lake activities just minutes away. One of the nicest and most relaxing times we have ever had. Only, be aware that there is a pump house across the river that makes a constant noise which affects the sites to the east of the trout dock. We will call soon to make our reservation for next year! We camped at Bull Shoals - White River State Park in a Motorhome.

Graceland RV Park & Campground, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for one night, intending to visit Graceland the next day. Ideally located right beside all attractions. Easy in, easy out pull through site. Busy, but did not feel too crowded. Very clean. Very friendly staff. It is a city park and not all that attractive, but serves its purpose as base for visiting Graceland extremely well. Only downside is proximity to airport. Memphis is a hub for FedEx and for a period in the middle of the night, there is frequent plane noise overhead as all these planes rendezvous in Memphis. We camped at Graceland RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

North Bend Park COE, Boydton, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2005 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

A great place on Kerr Reservoir. It is layed out generously. The sites are clean and well maintained. The bath houses are dated but clean. The rangers were friendly. We like the opportunity to reserve specific sites through Reserve America, without the 7-day minimum requirement on the NC side of the lake. There are numerous sites we would have liked. Fortunately, we only live an hour away. We will be back often. We may have found our favorite spot close to home. We camped at North Bend Park COE in a Travel Trailer.
