Casini Ranch Family Campground, Duncans Mills, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The check-in was simple and quick. The camp store is very complete and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The sites were level, clean, and hookups were easy to get to.

My only complaint are the burrs...those little round prickly things...they got into the toes of my dog...to the point of a visit to the vet when we got home...infection and had to be on antibiotics! Next time he is going to wear booties...warning for other dog owners!

I would highly recommend Casini...location is great for visiting other small towns! We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Wine Country RV Resort, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Everything others said about this resort, are true. This park has level cement pads, a picnic table and bbq, clean sites, friendly staff, a gigantic pool and two hot tubs (one is adult only). Be aware that there are above ground sprinklers! We camped at Wine Country RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Furnace Creek Resort RV Park (Concessionaire Operated), Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park looked like a terrible trailer park! Overgrown weeds, many junky long-term RVs. I had to squeeze my 24' RV in between a propane tank (for the laundry room!) and a pole. We were going to stay 2 nights and left after 1 night. Will never return!! Horrible place! We camped at Furnace Creek Resort RV Park (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here just one night, but will be back! It was a wonderful park, had the equipment to pick a bag of oranges! We play board games and they had a beautiful lodge type room. Coloma Resort, Coloma, California

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed here with a group, so rate is reflective of this. Overall, this is a nice park. We were there when a school group was there and it was not a problem except not being able to use a hall during one day (we were told it was ours Thurs.-Sun). At my site (E), the power could only be accessed by literally lying on my stomach...and then having to use levelers so that the plug stayed in! The campground was very focused on building new cabins...would like to have seen more effort in removing the mud! Front desk were very nice. We camped at Coloma Resort in a Motorhome.

Coloma and highway 46 are very historical of the mining era. Placerville and Apple Hill are two places not to be missed.

Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was my 4th time at Durango. Normally the park has earned a 10+...the Wi-Fi was mostly slow if at all...and that was with everyone in my group (RVW). The Dog run surface was so powdery, that my normally white dog turned a chalky color and I had to bathe him...the powder blew in the air whenever he/I walked and billowed when he ran. Perhaps some fine pebbles or DG. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bakersfield RV Resort, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I used this park twice...once going south and returning going north. Very easy off freeways, and cannot hear the freeways at the campground. Everything is clean and level. The dog parks are in weird places, but work! The restaurant is wonderful. Front desk ladies are friendly and knowledgeable, and the cookies were delicious! The only "bad" is that there are no picnic tables. I would return for sure! We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here with a group, so nightly rate reflects that. They have a pool, but it is seasonal. I enjoyed the park and my area was quiet, level, and large enough for my 24' rig. My two complaints...my area was filthy...cigarette butts everywhere along with other waste! The two pet runs were nice, but the dirt is powdery and my white dog turned brown...honest! Some pea gravel or grass would help! We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Barstow / Calico KOA, Yermo, California

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I found the campground to be clean. The site had a table and BBQ pit. There is privacy with oleander plants separating sites...problem...they are deadly poisonous and with a dog or child...well, not a good combination. I would never let my dog go on his own in the "dog area." There are too many dangerous things out there like snakes, etc. I'd stay again. We camped at Barstow / Calico KOA in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful place...clean, level, wonderful laundry area. The walking trail for the dogs is a problem as the rocks are hard on the dog's paws and mine, and others, walked on the bricks lining the rocks! This really is a great campground and I would highly recommend it!! We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amarillo KOA, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I am used to every KOA having a railroad track close by...and actually love the sound BUT, this place has an international airport 1/2 mile away and the planes taking off made having a conversation impossible...and then there were jets (air show type) practicing. Other than that, it was fine. I wouldn't stay there again, however. We camped at Amarillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I was impressed by this KOA...the owner is very friendly and helpful. The BBQ and breakfast were wonderful...nice way to meet others! I agree with the comment regarding the burrs in the lawn...but found those throughout Oklahoma and Texas. I would stay here again and recommend it! We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

From the moment I drove in, I was impressed. The registration desk person greeted me enthusiastically. Everything at my site was perfect...level, clean, easy to get to. Crews were out for 2 days mowing and trimming! The pool was clean (cold!) and comfortable. The dog area was awesome...2 areas with grass! The big surprise was a full Kamp Kitchen with tons of choices...pecan waffles for breakfast. Really! I'd stay again and highly recommend it!!! We camped at Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA) in a Motorhome.

Lordsburg KOA, Lordsburg, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Imagine walking into the office to register, and the clerk (manager?) is so sound asleep that you have to say "Hello" twice to wake him. He said, "Sorry, I am bored"! Not a good first impression. I wanted to use the pool; he needed to unlock it (had forgotten). Otherwise, it seemed "OK" but the neighborhood seems rundown and shady. I wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Lordsburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Abilene KOA, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Interesting...pool was closed for us also as a pump was out. No one was at the registration desk, and I had to wait. Literally the place reminded me of a trashy trailer park...not kidding! There was standing water that had obviously been there for some time. Weeds, junk, muddy K9 park (come on...pea gravel or grass!!). I left in the morning quickly! Not up to KOA standards, and I would not recommend it! Disappointing! We camped at Abilene KOA in a Motorhome.
