Lake Tawakoni / Thousand Trails, Point, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is another Thousand Trail park that seems to be geared to the residents that purchase lots there. All lakefront sites are private sites occupied by mostly locals. If there are any sites on the lake they have bad electric and no sewer connections. Most other sites are heavily wooded and not really geared to big rigs. The residents seem to have free reign to do whatever they pleased none of the rules applied lots of large groups on weekends drinking and riding around in golf carts. We observed some promiscuous behavior at the adult pool in the evenings. The adult pool is in an area away from everything so locals use it as a party spot. Sites and roads need a lot of love. Picnic tables falling apart and some of the better sites have signs that they are closed. We are Thousand Trails members so have visited lots of their parks but this one was the most disappointing for us just shows that members are not their top priority. They did have a really nice family pool! We camped at Lake Tawakoni / Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

This park is midway between Tombstone and Bisbee. Great homebase for checking out both towns. Manager and wife very friendly and treated us like family gave us tour of all facilities. Park is grass sites and dirt roads good electric. Stayed one night. We camped at Double Adobe Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Playground Campground, Belle Fourche, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Would not recommend this park to anyone. Very trashy and creepy. Couple of old abandoned trailers around an old dilapidated building. Not sure anything worked because we left and never saw anyone. The neighborhood was a little less than desirable. We camped at Playground Campground in a Motorhome.

Wyatt's Hideaway Campground, Belle Fourche, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in 40 ft coach after Sturgis Rally. There was only one other camper here and 2 monthly's. Spaces are close together with lots of tent sites. Weak Wifi: unable to use. Gravel roads and sites. Would stay again for couple nights. Lots to see in the area. We camped at Wyatt's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.
