About Wandering Wishnies

After travelling continuously for 9 years we've just bought a townhouse in Tucson (1/15). Although not yet set in stone, our travelling days are probably over.

Large well maintained park with wide roads and big gravel sites. Cement patios but no tables. Very little plantings. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a problem, because we came here to have a repair done to the rig and they wouldn't let the vendor in because he didn't have his insurance certificate with him. When we wanted to leave they would only offer to refund 3 of the 4 days even though we had only been here 2 hours. Not nice!

Nice quiet older park with mix of residents and travelers. Gravel sites are large and well maintained. Wifi is sometimes less than reliable due to activity. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

Very nice park, wide paved roads, large, level gravel sites. Kept very clean. Friendly helpful staff. About 10 miles from shopping.

This is one of our favorite parks. We've been here 3 times now. The park is kept very neat and the birding is fantastic. We were in site#11 and it is Way off level. We needed 4 blocks to get close.

Weekly rate for Escapees is $120. Gravel lot with no free WiFi and no cable. Some road noise. Nothing special.

Really just a gravel lot in back of a home. They have 30 and 50 amp sites, but they are not marked and we set up at a 30 before we discovered the mistake. Friendly, but large, intrusive dog from neighbors stalked our dog and made walking difficult. Closest park to Bosque.

Gravel park right on highway. Lots of road noise. Fast Wi-Fi, but no OTA TV. Cable is only for long term residents. Lots of "older" long term rigs. Nice folks in office. About 10 miles from town. Probably would look for something else if we returned to the area.

Nice small park, very friendly and helpful lady in office. We had a large back in gravel site. Wi-Fi and cable TV were very good. Quiet well kept park, we would definitely return.

Location is perfect. Sites are gravel and not too level. At $50 a night the WiFi should work and the cable TV shouldn't be fuzzy. Way too expensive, but they have a lock on the market so can get away with it.

Nice clean, quiet campground, right in Canyon De Chelle Park. Very tight interior roads with trees all over. Great spot for visiting the canyon.

Small, rustic park with charming, funky feel. Friendly, attentive, helpful owners. Gravel back in sites, mostly with concrete patios. A few have small wooden patios. 30 amp service and somewhat spotty wifi. Many long term residents. $295 a month rate with electric is the best bargain in Arizona. We would definitely return.

Really just a field in back of the restaurant. Services are very old, but adequate. Wi-Fi is spotty. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Park is right on the road, but traffic is minimal. We would return.

We stayed here 2 weeks. All the criticisms are correct, but to us the park was very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for shopping and visiting the city. The park and the pool is kept very clean and neat. Most of the sites are shaded by mature trees. We would definitely return.

Large park with gravel roads and sites. Some trees and landscaping, but open feel. Road noise is loud, especially at the front. Pool is nice and kept clean. Wi-Fi is useless, we could connect, but never got anywhere. OTA TV works fine. Quite a way from the city and we drove a lot. Rate is based on weekly charge. We would not return.

Large campground with wide roads and large, level, cement sites. Minimal landscaping so place looks bare. Wi-Fi was spotty and cable not too good. Office staff was responsive and friendly. We would stay here again.
