South Toledo Bend State Park, Anacoco, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

South Toledo Bend State Park has plenty of shade for those hot summer days. The fishing is off the hook. There is a boat launch, fishing peers, a swimming beach, paved walking trails, a playground for the kids and beautiful views of the lake. It is a good drive from the interstate. We camped at South Toledo Bend State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very shady, pretty park close to the interstate but not noisy from the traffic, in fact this is a very peaceful park. There is a boat launch by the lake and a separate launch for the Pearl River. They have several museums and restaurants in the area. Also, a golf coarse. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Bogue Chitto Water Park, Mccomb, Mississippi

Overall Rating:

Bogue Chitto Park is great place to go on hot summer days. The water park is fairly large and the river is quit refreshing. They offer tubing and canoeing on the river and bring your horse if you have one, there are several miles of trails. A very spacious park. The upper ground campsite are paved with very clean bathrooms. We camped at Bogue Chitto Water Park in a Motorhome.
