Spring Lake Resort, Kalamazoo, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with other reviewers. This campground does not have the attention of the owners. Personnel were non existent having been laid off a few weeks earlier. Phones are shut down and office is locked. Literally no services. We were told we had to leave because campground was shutting down early. We purchased membership here mainly to camp in The fall and early spring because of too many people being there in the summer. Now that opportunity is lost. Owners are rumored to be buying more camps while letting this one deteriorate. Wish we knew how to contact other members. We feel our membership at this campground has been seriously devalued. Many improvements that were promised never carried out. Would not buy membership here again. We camped at Spring Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Dearborn, Milford, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice level sites mostly in woods. Sites were too close together in some places. No room for even a picnic table and fire rings were dangerously close to trailers. Many permanent sites along the lake and they were larger sites. They also provided places for groups to camp together. Nice beach, boats to rent, etc. main attraction water slide was closed due to water levels being low when we were there. Had a nice store. We were there mainly to see Henry Ford Museum so we didn't spend a lot of time at the trailer but kids enjoyed the playground and the lake. Only problem is this campground opens it's facilities to the public for day use making the picnic grounds, beach and other facilities very crowded during the day but it is quiet in the evenings. We would go back when school is in session. We camped at Camp Dearborn in a Travel Trailer.
