Overall Rating:

I just spent 7 nights there I had site 65 and it was very nice. Park fills up very quickly at night but empties out in the morning, Park owner adding more cable hookups while I was there. Dump site if you don't have it at site, over beside pavilion. i had some problems with Wi-Fi but others didn't. Wonderful dog fenced in area. Trash dump on left as you leave. I will definitely return. We camped at New Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Chippokes Plantation State Park, Surry, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I was just there 9-12 August 2007. I had a huge pull thru site # 9. I have levelers so the fully paved site was a easy set up. I didn't like the pea gravel where the huge picnic table was. All sites I saw had a wonderful fire pit and grill furnished as well as a pole to hang the light- I will return here--I loved the place. Rest rooms and showers are wonderful and they kept them spotless. I enjoyed the pool-a short distance away. We camped at Chippokes Plantation State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I was just there for the weekend and met some great new friends. The place is very friendly and clean. They even have Wi-Fi "free" right on site. The host's are very friendly and were very busy, it was a sold out weekend. Best small place around, with a lovely town. Lots to see and places to tour. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Motorhome.
