Goodland KOA, Goodland, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Older KOA Journey. Park has many pull throughs, ours was long enough for our 36' motorhome and toad. Very large area in rear of park to let dog run, but be careful of the little spurs they may pick up. There is also a fenced in K-9 park. FHU solid at 125v., water, sewer ok. Many sites have cable. Both treed sites and satellite friendly sites. There is a pool, nice playground. Miniature golf in need of some attention. Sites are very level, not very wide, but grass in between with picnic table. Small charcoal grills at some sites. Verizon and T-Mobile worked well. Park wifi was very good. We spent a couple of days here to restock and relax. Small camp store and laundry $2.00/load. Right off the interstate but we did not notice any noise. Some sites are 30 amp. only if you need 50 make sure to ask. They have a tornado designated in a building at the rear of the park. Sites 61-65 full hookup, 30-50 amp. pull though and cable at rear of park, satellite friendly. Owners were very nice and easy to work with. Would stay here again if in the area. Park We camped at Goodland KOA in a Motorhome.

Topeka / Capital City KOA, Topeka, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

At first does not look like much, but it has a good layout and turned out to be very nice campground. There are 8 "Big Rig" sites (58-65). Pull throughs (sites 1-37) and some back in sites. Our site 33 was just long enough for my 36' motor home and toad without unhooking. (sat friendly). Many of these sites have a slight drop off at the end. There are also deluxe patio sites. Sites are gravel/dirt with grass in between. FHU's good. Sewer a bit to the rear, may need extension if your bay is mid rig. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signal. Wifi - (5 Ghz 30 Mps down.) 2.4 Ghz was hard to get on, 5 Ghz did drop often. Many satellite friendly sites also treed sites. Propane on site. Grass areas for rover and a K-9 park. I did need a board under one wheel to level, but did not see any other rigs with boards. Camp store open to 8pm. Laundry rooms are in two places ($1.50 wash). There are cabins and tent areas. Playground, fishing ponds, saltwater pool, exercise rooms. There is a storm basement in main building. You may not want to trust your GPS to get here, some roads may have changed. There is one way in on a loose gravel road, and another over paved roads. If you call they will give directions over the paved roads. Campground near interstate, but not noisy. We thought it was a fine KAO for our overnight stay. We camped at Topeka / Capital City KOA in a Motorhome.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Downtown RV park in Little Rock. Not hard to find. Cement pads, pull in facing river (extra cost) and very long pull though sites in middle of park. Rear park sites are gravel, but level. Pull through sites are N/S configuration. Good Verizon and T-Mobile Signals. No cable. Most sites satellite friendly. Areas near river to walk dog, also covered pavilion with picnic table with grass. Park has security gate. Wifi is good, even with full park. FHU's good condition. There are some overflow electric/water only sites. Bridge over river to Clinton Library is a bit far to walk. The bridge is lit at night and is a light show, very nice. Felt it was a good value for a downtown park. Many stores and restaurants short drive from park, but area can be dicy after dark, but park is safe. Very basic park, not the prettiest, but pull though sites are level cement pads and very long. If you are going to arrive after 5, you will have to call in order to get past security gate to site. The gate needs a code after hours. The washer and driers pay in advance. The park is really a large parking lot with cement pads and utilities, right in downtown near the library. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Branson KOA, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice KOA near the heart of Branson. FHU good condition, mid site. Park cable, Wifi usable (with some dropouts). Good Verizon and T-Mobile signals. Many sites satellite friendly, mostly in premium section. Note: Sites in lower cost sections may require some leveling. Sites in premium are two cement landing strips for the wheels, with the rest of the site gravel/dirt. Interior roads asphalt. Premium satellite sites are near the convention center, they are also the furthest from office/pool. Some nice dog walk areas. Pool/hot tub. Propane onsite. Pizza delivery to site. Staff friendly and very efficient at check in. Trash pickup at site. You will probably have to unhook toad, even in premium sites. You can book some Branson shows at the campground. We would stay here again. Nice place to explore Branson. We camped at Branson KOA in a Motorhome.

Campground at Barnes Crossing, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground near Tupelo. Interior roads narrow, paved. Sites crushed gravel, wide, ours was very level. Sites are terraced. Cable tv. Some sites are satellite friendly, lots of trees and shade. Campground was neat and clean. Staff friendly. Verizon and T-Mobile signals weak but usable. Could not get on wifi. Dogs limited to a few sections of the park for morning duty. FHU's mid site, good condition. We were here for overnight stay. Easy in and set up. Campground very quiet. No credit cards, cash or check only. Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines), Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park off of I-10. Sites to the rear are larger and more satellite friendly. Sites near office are closer together and have trees. New owners have taken sites in the treed area out of service to provide more room between rv's and parking for toads. Owners were very nice, we had an electric problem on the pole, and was fixed. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signal. Very good park cable. Wifi worked reasonably well. Large grass areas for rover are nice. Interior roads did not seem to be a problem if taken with care. There is noise from I-10 but did not find it a problem. FHU's mid site. There is a gas station at the camp entrance that can be good for gassers towing. We came during the hurricane and the owners were doing their best to accommodate everyone one during the difficult times. Would stay here again. We camped at Lake City RV Resort (formerly Oaks "N" Pines) in a Motorhome.

I-75 RV Park, Tifton, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, practical, small rv park. Manager had us call when we were about 10 min. out so he could meet us and lead us to our site. Use the second entrance, easier access into park. Roads, sites gravel with dirt. Good placement of FHU's. Park Cable, good wifi. Verizon and T-Mobile good. Most all site satellite friendly. Trash cans well placed. Grass between sites. Sites are close. There is road noise from I-75 but did not bother us. This park is right at the exit. It is great for a stop for an overnight. Manager is very friendly and goes out of his way to make sure everything is right. Would stay here again. We camped at I-75 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cardinal Center Campground, Marengo, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground and a large skeet shooting range. Sound of the skeet guns not bothersome. Interior roads gravel, easy to navigate. We have stayed here before and the premium (blue) sites are very long. There are many types and sizes of sites so pull up a map of this campground before booking since some of the other types of sites are very small. The office closes early so call in the morning or early afternoon. Back-ins are easy though all areas of the park. Our site 404 was not level, but was satellite friendly. However, most sites seem level. Some of the utility runs can be on the long side, so extra hose/extensions may be needed. Sites that face the skeet range, would not book them. There are large grass areas to run rover. Wifi was not usable with park full on holiday weekend. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signals. Many sites sat. friendly but office staff does not seem to know which ones. Look at the park on google earth, then check it against campground map. Call ahead since they host events at the skeet range and the park can fill. We camped at Cardinal Center Campground in a Motorhome.

Paradise Lakes Family Campground, Bristolville, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park in northeastern Ohio. Many full timers here, well kept sites. RV and tent sites. Park has three main areas on each side of a corps of engineers dam and lake. Free paddle boats and canoes. Short term RV's are in the first section to the right. Sites gravel, level, small wood decks. Most all pull throughs. Satellite friendly. Since the campground is on both sides of a small lake, you will need a golf cart (rent) or car to get around the park. No pool but a nice swimming lake. Very large well kept K-9 off leash area. New upgraded wifi, park wide that works. Park very quiet. Many planned activities. Mostly a weekend park. Interior roads gravel, easy to navigate. Small camp store, basic soda and munchies. Verizon and T-Mobile signals. FHU's to rear of site good. This is generally a local campground, but worth a stop if your in this area. Found staff and residents very friendly. Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for a few days to visit friends in the area. Very scenic park. Propane on site. Pool. Cable TV 40+. Many satellite friendly sites. (but workers did not seen to know which ones were sat friendly). Escort to site. Roads gravel and easy with larger rigs. Many pull throughs. Most sites level, but many in the 600's needed boards under front wheels to bring it to level. Site 613 is sat friendly but needed leveling. Verizon and T-Mobile good signals. FHU's are toward front of site instead of rear of site. Power pillars were loose in the ground, but did not seem to be a problem. Many washers and driers out of service, but there were new ones in creates not yet installed. Staff was friendly. We asked for a satellite friendly site only to be put on a site with trees, they did let us change sites. I would check the site, before accepting. This was a nice KOA but felt they need to put some work into the sites. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort, Geneva, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground. They are doing a lot of renovating, putting in many new pull throughs toward the rear in what was formally a wooded tent area. Newer sites are large and level gravel with grass in between. Two pools, one adult, one children. Many seasonal campers, well kept. Pond with ducks and fishing. Church on premises. Many activities for children. I think the sites to the rear of the camp would be quieter than the older smaller sites toward the front. But it is an active weekend campground. Lots do to for children. Nice well stocked camp store for food, wine etc. Restaurant on premises. Park is much quieter during the week. Very good new wifi throughout park. Good Verizon signal. Most new sites are satellite friendly. Gas station in the front good for gassers. FHU's good. Park cable on some sites. Roads compact gravel and easy to navigate. Park is pricey but has a lot to offer. Make sure you ask about cancellation policy as it is stiff. Look up camp map, as the reservation staff don't seem to know much about the different sites. Rt. 45 off interstate a bit easier than going though town. Staff is friendly and about as helpful as they can be. We camped at Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Stopped here for an overnight. This is a very large rv park suited also to longer stays. There are playgrounds, volleyball, horseshoes and more. Propane on site. Large camp store with rv supplies, food and hand dipped ice cream. They also rent golf carts. There is a schedule with weekend events for the summer. Overnight spots seem to be upfront by the office and are level, gravel with grass in between. There are tent sites, cabins as well as long term rv sites. Lake on site with beaches. No pool. Large fenced K-9 park. No T-Mobile signal. Verizon kept bouncing to 3-g. Camp wifi was usable. FHU in good order. Roads were gravel and easy to navigate. Overnight sites were satellite friendly. No park cable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Camp has lots of grass and is well maintained. Would stay here again. We camped at Circle B Campground in a Motorhome.

A KOA that is close to Chicago. When checking in, the office is on the opposite site of the building. Escort to site. There is a entrance gate, and a deposit for the key card. Roads are gravel and a bit narrow but not a problem. Escort to site. We were in 109 found water pressure drop to 20 lbs at peak times (park full). Site 109 not satellite friendly. Many sites are satellite friendly. Also many shaded sites. Site are gravel and mostly level. Sites 112-115 may need a board under front to level. Sites 101-104 and 109-110 are side pull throughs next to grass field, great if you have a dog, and satellite friendly (not 109). Not all sites have 50 amp. or sewers. No park cable. Park has many activities for kids. Nice pool, game room, volleyball, horseshoes, mini golf, and more. Many planned activities for children on weekends. Bring bug repellent, for mosquitos. Verizon and T-Mobile signals good. Wifi in park mostly unusable. Park has nice cabins and tent areas. K-9 fenced in park. Park is very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and efficient.
