Lady Luck Casino, Caruthersville, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Small RV park for the Lady Luck Casino. Park is clean and well kept. It is a few miles off the interstate, but there are not a lot of RV parks in the area. For overnight it is really not bad. FHU's mid site and good. Pads all cement, but some out of level, so eye them up. Closer to the bath house the better the wifi. Did not try OTA, did not try park cable. Verizon and T-Mobile good signals. Most sites looked satellite friendly (sites furthest away from casino looked like they may have sat. problems. Park has nice grass, and some nice flowers. There is food in the Casino. As others have said, drive in, find a site, then go to casino to register, it is a few minutes walk. There are no reservations, first come first served. We arrived around 1pm and there were only 4 RV's in camp, still not full by late afternoon. No way to tell till you get here. There is a restaurant and snack bar in the Casino. I was impressed that they had an emergency plan for bad weather. We stopped for an overnight stay, and would probably stay again. We camped at Lady Luck Casino in a Motorhome.

Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV park. Well kept. Sites are packed gravel and level. Our site P-100 was long enough for 36' rig and toad without unhooking. Sewer tends to be far to the rear of the sites, may need an extension. Rest of FHU's are good. Center area to walk dogs, nice grass, not fenced. Park is well manicured. Pool, playground, mini golf. Wifi was slow at peak times. OTA tv. Cable. Many sites are satellite friendly. Also many treed sites. Good camp store with supplies. We did not notice any highway noise at our site. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signals for data. Site P-100 was satellite friendly also an end site. Staff was very friendly, and had escort to site. Did not find the interior roads to be much of a problem, but watch the turns. Have stayed here in the past and would stay here again for overnight stop. We camped at Double J Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Galesburg East Campground, Knoxville, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this campground many times in the past. It now has new owners, who are very friendly and nice. Sites are narrow but doable, just take it slow. Unhook toad at check in may be best option. Our site was long enough for 36' and toad. Campground mostly trees, so satellite is not an option, unless you set up a manual dish or have a carryout, then only a few sites. Our site worked with a carryout (16). FHU's mid site. Wifi was very slow early evening, from overloading. (the camp was full) probably good early or late. Good Verizon and T-Mobile. Some OTA. Plenty of grass for Rover. Did not notice any road noise. Well kept campground with pool. Will stay here again. We camped at Galesburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Little Bear Campground , West Liberty, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park for a night or two. We were here to have a repair on HWH slide. The HWH factory is about 10 min. away. Our site was level, packed gravel. There is lots of grass in the park. Did not notice any road noise. Some full time residents, but park very quiet. There is a pool. Large, nice, mowed grass area for rover. Small playground. Nice trees. There are some sat. sites. No camp store. If you enter off KOA drive, right turn into park, then look for a small sign on right pointing to the right, toward office. There is a sign on door to call for camp host. (if you search Little Bear up on Google maps, earth view, it is easy to see the ways in) Host saw us come in and was there to meet us. Escort to site. You can also enter by the parking lot behind the B/P station. The FHU's were good. Mid site. Park had a strong wifi. 8 Mbs down. Good Verizon and T-Mobile. 4g. No cable, did not try OTA. I think this is a good park for the price. Would stay here again. We camped at Little Bear Campground in a Motorhome.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little RV park behind the Super 8 Motel. As of this writing there is construction. Call ahead for directions off the interstate. The RV park is to the left and behind the Super 8. The camp is close to interstate, but found it quiet. Sites level. FHU's well place and good condition. Most site treed. Used carry out dish for sat. Park has cable, but may need to get a box from the office. (did not use) Good Verizon. T-Mobile 3-g. Wifi was usable with full park, but we were near the office. Nice park personnel (camp hosts). Sites gravel, level with grass in between. You can use the Super 8 motel pool. Small playground. Some grass for Rover. Interior road easy. Very nice place near the freeway for an overnight stop. Gas station for gassers across the street from RV park. Not a fancy park but well kept and a good value for a night or two. Site was long enough for 36' towing. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Des Moines West KOA, Adel, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

In general average KOA. We upgraded to a "premium" site for more money. (it has patio and gas grill, nice grass at end of row) Found the site not level and had to use boards to level. This site is spacious, but really needed attention. (Our site 27. Talked with camper from site 55, same leveling problem) Defiantly not worth the extra money. Regular sites close together with grass. They are adding a new section onto the campground at this writing. Most sites sat. friendly. There is park cable with 37 stations. No road noise. FHU's mid/rear site. Park can be dusty. There is nice pool and a on site Hunt Bro. Pizza and wings. Ice cream sold here. Roads easy enough to navigate. Propane sold here. Better to unhook toad at check in. Park easy to find off intestate. Park employees very friendly and helpful. Good Verizon signal. T-Mobile 2-g. Park wifi. spotty, kept getting thrown off. When it work it was good. Trash pickup at site. Tent camping and cabins on site. Dog park. Games and bouncy for the kids. Good for overnight stay, in regular site. We camped at Des Moines West KOA in a Motorhome.

Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Young RV park, so trees are not large yet. We stayed only a night wished we could have stayed longer. All roads large, asphalt, sites level cement, sites spacious with table and fire ring (limited sites). Grass between sites. Back in's slanted, easy. FHU's good. There are even 3 sewer connects on most sites. Large selection of cable stations 45+. Wifi passable though park. Good Verizon, passable T-Mobile signal. All sites look satellite friendly. Good camp store (with wine). Basketball courts, large swimming pool, play ground, volley ball, horseshoes. Off leash dog park for large and small dogs. Park is large with RV and tent sites. Nice to see a RV park this nicely planned. Sites plenty large for motorhome and toad. 3 large checkin lanes. Disconnect toad at checkin or in site. Staff nice and friendly. No escort to site, but park well marked. Good gas station at exit for gassers. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

This is a resort park. Many families and children. It is also older and built for smaller RV's. Park streets are paved, hard turn out of site. No escort to site. Wifi usable very early or late at night. Verizon signal good. T-Mobile 3-g. FHU's good and mid site. We were in site 28. It was a premium site, but right behind is a double dump station with early morning and late afternoon congestion. Not sure why they would make premium sites next to the dump station. The site was narrow, but had a nice patio and table, bench and fire ring. Not sure why, but I coach sat. had view of the 101/119 sats. but direct tv would not lock on. Neighbor in 26 had same problem. Carryout worked ok on table. (sat. checked at next stop ok) Sites 25 and 30 were larger. Only a few site even have sat access. Park has cable tv with many stations. Our calbe up was good, other's who were in the office reporting problems with the cable. Did not try OTA. Best to unhood toad at check in. Site was long enough for 36' + toad. Would hook up toad on way out, can be a tight turn out of the site with a larger class A if the toad is attached. Nice people at check in. Good camp store. Scoop ice cream. Many treed sites. Great pool. Good park for families. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Dick's RV Park, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for an overnight stay. Sites are gravel, and have been recently leveled. Our site was to the rear. Wifi was spotty. Good Verizon Signal. FHU mid site. Good pressure/electric. Interior roads wide easy to navigate. Can unhook toad at checkin or at site. Make sure to follow the camps directions to the RV park. 14' high RR bridge just before park. Grass strips at each site. RV park good for overnight stay. There are some full time people in the park. There is park cable, did not use. Sites to rear are satellite friendly, sites to the front have trees. Site was long enough for 36' RV and toad, without disconnect. Can wash RV for $15.00 fee. Would stop here for an overnight again. Not a lot in the area to choose from. Staff was very friendly. No escort to site. Small camp store. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

KOA neat the east entrance of Glacier. Great views of the mountains from the camp. Sites gravel with grass, table and fire ring. Not sure if all the staff can match your RV to the site. Check the site before set up. Most sites level in the middle but may have slanted entrance/exit. Make sure you motorhome will fit on the level portion. Best to unhook toad at checkin. FHU's good, mid site. are a lot of tent site at this KOA. No cable. Verizon good, no T-mobile signal. No cable. Wifi unusable at site. Did not try OTA. All sites seem sat friendly. No road noise. Nice pool/hot tub. Camp store stays open till 11:00 pm also onsite eatery open for breakfast and open late for dinner. Pizza delivery available to site. Pricey but everything is, near here due to it's location. Nice dog park for rover. Average KOA but probably best camp in the area to see sights around East Glacier. West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $74.00
Overall Rating:

Resort KOA that is close to entrance to the park. It is a large KOA with different types of sites. The patio sites have a patio and grill (new section). We were in a super site in the older section. FHU's good and mid site sewer seem a bit far back. Propane available on site. Can unhook toad at checkin (best) or at site. Site 136 very level as were all sites. Most all sites satellite friendly. Wifi unusable (near office best). T-Mobile 3-g. Verizon showed 5 bars, but data was very slow especially early evening. I think the towers are overloaded. Park has an adult only pool and regular pool and hot tub. Great landscaping at this park. Visit the park restaurant (dog friendly). Pricey but great steak dinners. Tasty scoop ice cream shop on site. Evening programs, games for kids on site. No cable tv. Did not try OTA they list 4 channels. One of the nicest KOA's we have visited. The patio sites are about $40.00 than super sites. This is a good choice if you want to stay near to Glacier West park entrance. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Nugget RV Park, St. Regis, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV park. Well manicured and well kept. Sites are gravel with grass and picnic table and very level. Interior roads gravel, easy to navigate. Some sites have fire ring, no patios. Some sites satellite friendly, no park cable, no OTA. Unhook toad at check in, or at site. Nice bathrooms and laundry facilities. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signals. Water pressure high will need pressure reducer. Nice large grass areas for rover. Very dog friendly park, may be some tics in the woods, none noted in campground. Camp store has snack items. Three gas stations in town for gassers and diesel on way in or out (height marked on overheads). Park has propane that is easy to pull to. Did not give a 10 because of wifi. If near office or laundry wifi may be usable, but spotty and unusable any distance from buildings, they need to add to the wifi system in the back areas. Hot spot phones work well. Owners very nice and escort to site. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Top notch RV park. They should all be this nice. Wide roads, gravel and asphalt sites. There is an escort to the site. Gravel sites are tight packed gravel and as good as the asphalt ones. All sites level. Great wifi 6 Mbps up/down. Good Verizon & T-Mobile signal. FHU 's new, mid site. Must have pressure reducer, high water pressure. There is park cable with good selection of stations. Most all site sat friendly, young trees. Store does not have a lot of food items, mostly munchies, drinks, RV supplies and gifts. Nice pool and hot tub, also workout rooms. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Sites are spacious with very nice grass, cement patios with picnic table that flips into benches. End sites have a large grass area. Laundry is 2.00 wash/dry. There are 3 laundry sites. Great propane lane on exit. We were in site 89. Large depressed grass area for rover at this site. There are two off leash dog parks at the camp. Camp workers are very nice and friendly. Would stay here again. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Peach Beach Campark (Sunset Orchards), Goldendale, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Best priced park in the area. Well kept. FHU's good quality. Pull throughs are side-curved, no sewer. Back in sites in the center of camp have sewer. Wifi dropped at times but mostly usable. Marginal but useable Verizon, T-Mobile did not work as well. They are a bit hard to get hold of sometimes, leave message. There are camp hosts. Your name will be posted on your site when you arrive. Lots of green area for rover. Access to beaches, and park next door to campground. Big with boaters and fishermen. There were a lot of dogs on on leash in the camp when we were here. Overall the camp was well maintained and quiet. Some sites are satellite friendly, but most it can be a close call. A carryout dish may do the job. There are two dump stations to use. No propane. No fires allowed here. Sites are gravel and level. There is noticeable train noise, (horns especially) did not bother us, but we did notice the horns. Back-ins are slanted and looked easy enough. Interior roads were no problem for our 36' motorhome. Would stay here again for short stays. We camped at Peach Beach Campark (Sunset Orchards) in a Motorhome.

Bridge RV Park & Campground, White Salmon, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice compact, well maintained RV park. Some site are grass some have washed stone. The closer to the office the better the wifi. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signal. Good gas station right at entrance of park for motorhomes. Park has a large grass dog area. It is not fenced but there are only two openings one at each end. NOTE: Do not use Hood Bridge, or if you do, turn in your mirrors, very narrow white knuckle bridge. Use the bridges East or West. Tunnels both ways are doable, but some you may have to take toward the center. My Garmin gps showed lower tunnel height than how they really were. In general the higher the site number the less train noise. Did not find it bothersome. We were in 29 grass site, and parking for toad. Good FHU's mid site. Did see some using a board to level one side. Laundry facilities are good. Camp hosts very nice, easy to work with. Back in sites are angled and easy enough. Some sites have satellite access, if this is important call ahead. Would defiantly stay here again. We camped at Bridge RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
