This park is set in a nature environment with mature Florida trees. A perfect fishing pier to see the Cape's Rocket launches. Clean bathrooms and clubhouse. Descent wifi. Now for the problems. The park is beside busy US1 and a BUSY railroad track. We WOULD stay here again IF we could get a site farther from the road (Sites H,L,M,N). If you are too close to the water, you will here the weekend campers party all night. If you are too close to the road you will wake up everyday at 6am and your RV will shake from the trains that pass by all night long... The employees are county workers, so customer service and friendliness is NOT their top priority. We had reservations for 5 months this Winter, but only stayed 1 month due to lack of SLEEP! I will know better next time we stay here. All sites are sandy.

An awesome view of the Cool Inlet and Kenai River. Beautiful sandy beach below. Clean RV park with a cute gift shop full of Alaskan made products. The sites are skinny, but who goes to Alaska to stay in their RV? Centrally located to everything on the peninsula.

We stayed at Red Gate for a month while looking for property to purchase. The manager/owner was the sweetest lady. It's a no-frills campground, but clean and tidy. Most spots are shaded by large trees. Plus they recycle. Great location across from a winery and minutes from downtown Hendersonville with cute shops and cafes. Around 20 minutes to Chimney Rock. We plan to come back here and stay.

Stayed for a month. Quiet campground location. Super friendly managers. Close to Bryson City with cute shops and cafes (Cork and Bean was our local place and Mountain Brew has great wraps). Eleven miles from NOC whitewater rafting and kayaking. Five miles to Fontana Lake for fishing and the famous Tsali mountain bike/horse riding trails. Had a blast and would come back if we are in the area again.
