Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

When we first checked in the managers were nice enough but by the end of the stay the man was almost harassing. They did not keep the noise levels down by other campers, but seemed obsessed with our fire to the point that he sat at the end of our site to watch us. The spa and pool were so dirty that there is no way that I would get into them. The location was very pretty but I will not be treated as he treated us and will not return. We camped at Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout in a Travel Trailer.

The sites are very close together. Bathrooms were extremely hot. The managers were polite and pleasant to work with. We camped at Spring Creek Marina & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Caprock Canyons State Park, Quitaque, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice location with big private sites. The park is well kept and has lots of nice places to hike. Be sure and take a lot of supplies with you because things are limited in Quitaque. There roads are well kept making access easy. A great experience. Very warm, though, in August. We camped at Caprock Canyons State Park in a Travel Trailer.
