Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at 2:45 and there were several sites available. The camp did steadily fill up by late afternoon/early evening. Our site was a long pull through with FHU's. There was an easy to use kiosk to register and pay. You then called the store and they told you the bathroom/laundry code. It was a very easy process. You can also register at the store after you find your site. The bathrooms were clean. It was $1.00 each for washer and dryers. Needed to use extra $1 for dryer, but still a bargain. This was a great overnight stop. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Do not miss the Oregon Interpretive Center located about 5 miles from campground. Also, the Inland Restaurant in Baker City had delicious home cooking.

Mt Hood Village RV Resort, Welches, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

We had a back- in FHU site. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of our site. The fire ring had a large amount of cigarette butts and other debris. The site was muddy, making it difficult to get into/out of our vehicle. We have camped extensively, but our first at a Thousand Trails/Encore park. We expected a pristine park for the amount charged, which was very high for a weekday stay in the fall. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Location is what it is all about. What a great ocean view! Electric only, site mostly level. It ruined the two days we visited and there was a lot of standing water at our site. Would definitely recommend this campground. We camped at Pacific Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Well maintained camp. The site was spacious and utilities worked well. The bathrooms were very clean and coded. The laundry was bright and reasonably priced. 1.75 for wash / 1.50 for dryer. There was a really nice sitting area in the laundry room. We camped at American Heritage Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Piper's Glen Campground, Fort Fraser, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Easy pull through. No sewer, no OTA TV, no cable. However, nice view of the lake. Bring your earplugs for the train and road noise. It really was not a big problem for us, since the camp location worked well for us and was only an overnight stay. Would stay again. We camped at Piper's Glen Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A first class campground. Sites were wide open, utilities worked well. Well maintained grounds. Owners obviously have worked hard to give travelers an easy in/out. Facilities were very clean. Would highly recommend. We camped at iRVin's RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very tight and crowded. The 15 amp electric had no receptacle cover and mounted on a 4x4 wooden post. Just be aware, it could be unsafe. Limited office hours. Would not return. We camped at Wapiti Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Medora Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We had made our reservations 4 months prior for a FHU site for 2 nights. We have a 36 foot fifth wheel. The first site we were given was not doable. We were told to we had to pull through a back-in site. Utilities were on wrong side and we would have to drive through a large grassy area to return to the road. When we complained we were told someone would come out to the site and we were to try again. So, after the second attempt, the office agreed it was not going to work. They said there was only one site available that we would fit into. It was unbelievable how close we were to our neighbors. After a lot of maneuvering we finally got into the site and luckily we had very nice neighbors on either side. Our neighbor's sewer hose was directly underneath our camper steps. We were able to get our slide out, but not our awning. We could not move the picnic table next to the camper, so it was out by the road. The staff attitude was very disappointing. We camped at Medora Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Site was long and a little narrow. Thankfully all the utilities worked well, as it was over 100 degrees during our stay. The bathrooms and laundry were very clean. We liked the location, as it was an easy walk to the stores and restaurants. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Wall Drug is a must stop on any road trip with an eclectic mix of merchandise. We chose to eat at the Badlands Saloon which had great burgers and a relaxing atmosphere.

Camden State Park, Marshall, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We were a little concerned when we pulled into the upper campground loop as it initially seemed tight. However, our pull through site was very spacious and it appeared the back-ins were also roomy. Our site overlooked the valley and was very scenic and had a nice viewing bench on the overlook. Unfortunately it was very windy with lots of mosquitoes. There was a very loud train in the valley, but did not disturb our sleep. Electric only, but a very nice camp for an overnight stay. We camped at Camden State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Meadville KOA, Meadville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Camping area is a good distance from the office, pool, recreation room and the only garbage dumpster. Daily rate is high and you need to pay for extra amenities, including the jumping pillow, which is only opened for a maximum of one hour three times a day. There are a lot of rules, not all bad, but many more than we have encountered at other KOA's. They have a very nice stocked store. We camped at Meadville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
