Meadville KOA (Was Brookdale Family Campground), Meadville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Camping area is a good distance from the office, pool, recreation room and the only garbage dumpster. Daily rate is high and you need to pay for extra amenities, including the jumping pillow, which is only opened for a maximum of one hour three times a day. There are a lot of rules, not all bad, but many more than we have encountered at other KOA's. They have a very nice stocked store. We camped at Meadville KOA (Was Brookdale Family Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Kinzua East KOA, Bradford, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The camp has two sections, an open area that is close to the office and swimming pool, and a lower wooded section with seasonal and some transient full hour sites. There is also a cabin loop in the wooded section. The camp is clean and the grounds are well maintained. We did not use the swimming pool, but it looked clean. If you have children, this campground, unlike most KOA'S, did not appear to have any scheduled activities, but it worked well for the two of us. We camped at Kinzua East KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Shenango Valley RV Park, Transfer, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay and this was one of the nicest campgrounds we have visited. The owners have really paid attention to details, escort to site, wood delivery, friendly and prompt service. There are many seasonal campers, but the weekend sites were very spacious and well maintained. We especially enjoyed the pool, lots of seating and umbrella tables. They have a pool basketball hoop and a lot of pool "noodles", which we enjoyed. We camped with our young grandchildren and one of the playgrounds was directly behind our site, which was a real plus for us. The park is very spacious, and it appeared that most of the seasonals had golf carts, which did not affect us at all. Unfortunately, we are used to riding our bicycles throughout the campground, but the roads were not paved, and there are some hills to contend with, so it just did not work for us. Even so, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this campground. We camped at Shenango Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The very best part of this park is the landscaping surrounding the pools and hot tub. Very well done and so relaxing. Also, the staff were very pleasant and eager to help. That includes the gift shop staff, also. The cites are narrow, but level, and we really did not spend a lot of time sitting at our site. It is a busy place and I would not stay in the first row on the south side of the pools. There was too much traffic noise. One row back would have been much better. It was a little pricey, but worth it. Would definitely return. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked the park, close to I-40 and yet very quiet. They had a really nice gift shop and the owner could not have been friendlier. We were there on the last night for their seasonal barbeques, which was really good. We would definitely return. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was a beautiful state park. The sites are so spacious. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, especially as the sun is setting. I never saw such a stunning color display. They do lock the gates at night, it is very secure and quiet. We camped at Sand Hollow State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Des Moines West KOA, Adel, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped overnight during a road trip out west. The camp is easy to find, not too far off of the interstate. The office staff was very friendly, and we had no problem with pulling into our site. The restrooms were very clean. During the overnight, my husband had a medical emergency, which thankfully turned out well. I cannot say enough about the genuine concern of the camp host and the emergency squads. The campground is about 20 minutes west of Des Moines and it definitely has a small town community feel to it. We camped at Des Moines West KOA in a Travel Trailer.
