Good Sam discount. Nice park with level site, but dribbling low-pressure shower-heads. Clean restrooms, but door hard to shut in the women's restroom. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Bomoseen KOA, Lake Bomoseen, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Campground includes a small un-attractive lake inlet with a millfoil-covered lake & small dock. Large trees; site not level. Several splices in electric lines attached to the large trees. Long walk to the rough bathrooms and even further walk in the dark to the nearly hidden laundry. Even with our KOA discount card, this park was very over-priced. We camped at Lake Bomoseen KOA in a Motorhome.

Prouty Beach & Campground, Newport, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice beach-front campground with friendly host. Although the restrooms were clean with soap & paper towels, the shower-heads were tiny and misted. The only TV station available for our antenna was in French. A good restaurant nearby is Eastpoint Pub (terrific chicken over biscuits with light gravy and very good haddock stuffed with crab and lobster). Before arriving we rode the Hobo Railroad (good) and hiked Flume Gorge (steep, uphill path, but worth it). After checking out, we drove to Stowe, VT, & toured Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory. We camped at Prouty Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Country Bumpkins Campground and Cottages, Lincoln, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Charged an extra $3 to run camper air conditioning. Dirty bathroom floors. The shower-heads were the misting type, adjusted to sting slightly, but still give very little water. Very many permanent residents. Good carved wooden statues of moose & bears in the park. Algae in pond. We camped at Country Bumpkins Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Harbor Hills Campground, Meredith, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Both the women's and men's restrooms each have 3 showers and 3 commodes, but because Housekeeping only wants to clean 1 shower and 1 commode in each bathroom, all the other doors are locked with signs saying "Closed", making campers wait in line to use the 1 available. Weak water pressure in shower. Camped here so we could ride the Winnepesauka Railroad (disappointing train ride -- 2 hours for 19 miles and stops in a 1930's car). We camped at Harbor Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Pleasant Hill Campground, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Rickety steps and deck to bathrooms felt unsafe. Low water pressure in tiny shower stalls. Level site. Did not try the wi-fi. Good Sam discount. We camped at Pleasant Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

My Brother's Place Campground, Houlton, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice grounds, but the all-grass sites (without gravel at site) had just been cut, so our camper got tons of grass clippings inside. Very clean restrooms with soft water, but low pressure in shower. Strong wi-fi. Good Sam discount. We camped at My Brother's Place Campground in a Motorhome.

Bar Harbor Campground, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

(Rte. 3, Salisbury Cove location) Very nice campground with ocean view & spotless bathrooms. Paved roads, gravel sites, nice trees, and quiet. Good water pressure, but $.25 for 4 minutes in a too-small shower stall. On the bus stop for the free bus (provided by Lands End) to the town of Bar Harbor and to Acadia National Park. We camped at Bar Harbor Campground in a Motorhome.

Wassamki Springs, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Good Sam discount. Well water has a strong smell. Very low water pressure in restroom, and dirty showers. Camped here so that we could arrive at noon the next day for lunch at Red's Eats in Wiscassett, ME to have their truly world-famous lobster rolls (one of 1000 things to do before you die). We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Motorhome.

Susquehanna Trail Campground, Oneonta, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very rough bath-house (poor carpentry work). Adequate water pressure in shower, but temperature swings in shower as commodes are flushed. The water supply stains porcelain fixtures brown. Lots of trees, but acorns hitting camper roof all night. We camped at Susquehanna Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Bathrooms had good water pressure, but no dressing room in the showers. Also, no soap, towels or hand dryer in restroom. But nice antique shop, rock shop, and pottery shop next door. Caves have 347 steps, so we could not visit the caverns. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Motorhome.

Rifrafters Campground, Fayetteville, West Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small campground very near the New River Gorge. All sites were filled on Memorial Day weekend, so it was noisy with lots of children. There is good water pressure in the bath house with nice shower heads. Our site did not get the advertised wi-fi, but temporarily parking near the bath house gave good wi-fi signal. We camped at Rifrafters Campground in a Motorhome.
