Valle del Oro (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park was the best over 55 park we have visited. The staff was excellent, especially the rangers who helped park us into a very narrow site due to a light pole on the site. The fitness center is "world class". The grounds are very clean. The bathrooms look to be remodeled and they are not only clean but very stylish. We will be going back to this park. Garbage cans along with recycle cans were provided, which helped encourage recycling. We camped at Valle del Oro (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Foothill Village Resort - an Encore RV Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

The park was adequate for a short stay. Not enough amenities for a long season stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Sites were level. Park facilities need to be updated. Close to Interstate 8 so noisy at night. We would stay here again for a short stay. Sewer connection was 30 feet from the coach connection, bring a long sewer hose. We camped at Foothill Village Resort - an Encore RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Caliente Springs Resort (55+ park), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park was did not have a guide to the back in site to assist. Most over 55 parks have that service. The facilities (restrooms, etc) at the clubhouse are in need of renovation. The exercise room was a very low grade of equipment. The sites are fairly level and are sand with a small concrete pad. The main disadvantage of this park is that the wind is excessive on the north side of I-10. We would not visit this park again. We would stay south of the I-10. We camped at Caliente Springs Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Campbell Cove RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were level. Sites were close together. Rate reflects a Passport America discount. Extra charge for Wi-Fi. Staff appeared to be some what aloof. Sewer connections right next to picnic table at site. We were in a pull-through. Bathrooms were clean. We would stay again if passing through. We camped at Campbell Cove RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wagons West RV Park, Fillmore, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park but well maintained. Sites are gravel but level and the grassy areas are a little un level next to the coach. We used Passport America and they charge extra for the analog cable. Bathrooms were small but clean. We would stay here again for a night when going North or South We camped at Wagons West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Winchester Bay RV Resort, Winchester Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The park was very clean, the laundry, restrooms and showers were excellent. The Wi-Fi was spotty. The location on the Oregon coast was fairly central between Coos Bay and Florence. The main issue when we stayed here was that there was no cable available for the entire week of the stay. This was very inconvenient. Before I would stay here again I would check to see if the cable was available. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mesa Verde RV Resort, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very clean and the hosts were great. The shower tile work is very nice and clean. The gravel roads are a little narrow to get in and out of the pull through. The pull throughs are very good. This park is the most convenient to Mesa Verde NP. However, it was closed due to government shutdown. WIFI was good. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a terrific park. The hosts are very knowledgeable and friendly. The restrooms are some of the best we have seen in our travels. Each restroom has its own toilet, shower, and sink. They are very clean and well maintained. The parking pads are mainly cement and level. The sites are long enough where you do not even need to unhook. We stop here whenever we pass though Mountain Home and would recommend this to others. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
