Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We had a concrete pad which was great for leveling and avoiding tracking in dirt. Helpful and pleasant staff, well maintained facilities, and reasonably sized sites. WiFi fairly strong. The cable was a little fuzzy but quite viewable. The r park is situated for easy drives into Charleston, but the left turns onto Savannah Hwy are problematic at certain times of the day. We will stay here again We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

First, the good news. While the majority of the sites are back in and fairly short, they are paved and reasonably level. The RV park is very close to all of Asheville's attractions, as well as, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Arboretum, and Hendersonville. Also, don't overlook the Farmers Market and the Moose Cafe which are a short half mile drive; the biscuits are awesome. Now, for the downside. For $40, after the Good Sam discount, I expect the rest rooms, showers, and laundry room to be reasonably clean and in good repair. They were neither. A good service attitude seems to elude the staff. We camped at Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park (Formerly Hospitality Woods RV par, Ellsworth, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Forest Ridge Campground for two weeks and enjoyed our stay. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, and the facilities were every bit as good as any campground that we have visited. It is ideally located for exploring the Acadia Park region. It is an easy drive to the park or any of the neighboring islands and coastal communities. The cable and Wi-Fi were perfect, most of the sites were pull-through and long enough for most rig sizes. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park (Formerly Hospitality Woods RV par in a Travel Trailer.
