Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Natural Bridge, Natural Bridge Station, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

This is a destination resort for families. It has organized activities, a pool, a swim lake, water front on the James River, tube/kayak rentals. Were it not convenient to places we wanted to visit, we probably would not have stayed here as we had no use of the amenities. That stated, this is a great place for families wanting a weekend or longer retreat. The weekend was very busy with kids on bicycles and people in golf carts scooting from one area to another. We had live entertainment on Saturday evening. The band was good and finished before 10PM.

Our site we had was in the upper area, unshaded per our request (satellite). Sites and roads are gravel. Farther up, sites were well shaded and cabins are mixed in with RV sites. Pricier sites are available along the river.

Unfortunately, several of the units in the laundry were out of order, as were some of the game in the game room. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Natural Bridge in a Motorhome.

L'Acadie Inn and RV Park, Eunice, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Initially, I was concerned about possible road noise as this small park sits between two roads. Concerns were allayed as this is a rural area, and what traffic there was diminished by 8 or 9 PM. The attractions in Eunice are easily accessable from the park's location. The owner of the park was quite helpful in advising some of the lesser known attractions, best times to attend, and restaurant recommendations. This is a small park, and I'm not sure I would use it for an extended stay. That said, I would return anytime I was in the area, be it for a couple of days or a couple of weeks. We camped at L'Acadie Inn and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We planned to stay two nights, however, we stayed four. The park is a pleasant surprise; nestled back in a wooded area, it is open enough for satellite reception. We found the park environs clean and neat; the staff friendly and helpful. Some of the sites are snug lengthwise, but spaciously wide. There is a train track nearby and trains are evident at all hours, It wasn't a problem for us, but could be for light sleepers. I find it less intrusive than airport noise. The park is convenient to Charleston, where we spent most of our days. I would readily return to this facility. We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
