Shields Park NAS Recreation Area (Military FamCamp), Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park with wide concrete sites. Our back-in was just long enough for our 42' 5th wheel but the width gave us plenty of room to park the truck. Free wi-fi, no cable ( but satellite worked great), picnic table, free laundry and very spacious. Lots of open areas with pavilions and picnic tables. Plenty of room to walk the dog or ride your bike. Small commissary and exchange on base. Can be windy and foggy since you are right on the water. Great location to visit Padre Island or the USS Lexington. We camped at Shields Park NAS Recreation Area (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Marquee On The Bay RV Resort, Dickinson, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are concrete, mostly back-in with a few pull thru. Our back- in site was a little small for our 42' 5th wheel, we could not stay hooked-up. Sites are fairly level with a patio pad ( no picnic table) and a parking pad. Roads and sites are pretty "tight", especially when everyone is "home" with their vehicles parked. Park floods pretty easily with a good rain. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very clean and quiet. Lots of full time residents. Kind of remote area but stores are a 10-15 minute drive away. We camped at Marquee On The Bay RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Shields RV Park (Military FamCamp), Naval Construction Battalion Center, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times and decided to try the "new campground" on this trip. The new addition is smaller than the original park but is in a location towards the rear of the base so it is very quiet. The large dog parks and lake are a short walk away. The sites are shorter and roads are not as wide as the original park. Next time we return we will probably go back to the "old" park just because of the extra room you have at the sites. This is a great facility in a good location. We camped at Shields RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area (Military FamCamp), Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times and really enjoy the campground. The campground is located about 2 miles off the highway so it is very quiet. We stay in Battleship Row which has full hookups. No cable but our satellite worked great. We had a back-in site on the front row facing the water. Sites are spacious, concrete, level and shaded. Lots of room to ride you bike or walk the dog. Stores and restaurants are a short drive away. Marina and a mini golf are on site. We camped at Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Triple C’s Campground & RV Park (Formerly Chattahoochee/Tallahassee We, Chattahoochee, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located right off of I-10 so it makes a good spot for an overnight stay. Our site was a pull thru that was long enough that we did not have to unhook. Sites are fairly level, gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. Nice size dog park and there were a lot of trees. We could not use our satellite system because of all the trees but could pick up quite a few stations with our antenna. The park is fine for an overnight but a little high priced considering no cable, patio, etc. We camped at Triple C’s Campground & RV Park (Formerly Chattahoochee/Tallahassee We in a Fifth Wheel.

Jacksonville RV Park (Military FamCamp), Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite military parks. Our site was plenty long for our 42' 5th wheel, concrete and level. Lots of parking room for the truck. Free wi-fi. No cable but our satellite system worked great. Free laundry. Lots of places on base to ride your bike and also a nice marina. Commissary is new and huge. Friendly and helpful office staff. Great location to many shops and stores in Jacksonville. We camped at Jacksonville RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Top notch RV Resort in a great location. Our concrete pull thru was extra long with plenty of room between sites. Patio and picnic table, free wi-fi and cable. Plenty of area to walk the dogs and even a hiking trail. Next to a golf course for those interested. Two nice pools. Close to shopping or the Polk Pkwy to hop on head to Tampa, Orlando or the beach. Christmas RV Park, Christmas, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice size privately owned park with large spacious hard sand/grass sites. Some smaller sites have a patio but our pull thru did not. Picnic table at each site. No cable or wi-fi. Pool area, playground, shuffle board and dog park. Located about 40 minutes from downtown Orlando and 60 minutes to Disney. Very quiet area, super clean park and very friendly staff. A little pricey for no cable or wi-fi but was a good location for us. We camped at Christmas RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Williston Crossings RV Resort, Williston, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park that we have stayed several times over the years. Park has doubled in size and has a large section of park models. Our pull thru was extra long, shaded and level. Great cable and wi-fi was pretty good. Nice pool area, clubhouse, propane, exercise room, walking trail, two dog parks. Park has security gate. Renovations and updates are constantly being made. Prices has really gone up over the years but the park is a "10". We camped at Williston Crossings RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Perry KOA Campground, Perry, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Older park that, although clean, needs some TLC. Our pull thru site was grass/sand, fairly level and plenty long. Limited cable, free wi-fi, dog park, small pool area. Long term residents are in section in back of park. Is ok for a quick overnight. We camped at Perry KOA Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park located about 6 miles off I-10 in the Florida panhandle. Park has back-in and pull thru sites. Our pull thru paved site was extra long, level and right across from the two lakes. Free cable and wi-fi. Our site had a great fire pit. Beautiful cabins and unique "glamping tents" are also available. Two fishing lakes are on the property. Park has security gate. Great place to stay the night or a month! We camped at Twin Lakes Camp Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Park is located right on the Mississippi River and just a short drive across the bridge to Natchez, MS. Our pull thru site was concrete, fairly level and just a little too short for our 42' 5th wheel and truck. Free wi-fi and cable (limited channels). Nice concrete walking/bike path along the river. Pool area, playground, picnic table but no patio. Plenty of room to walk the dog but lots of sand spurs. Nice clean park and a good place to stay to visit Natchez attractions. Honor Passport America for one night and take Good Sam. Charge $3 a night extra for 50 amp. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
