Little Grassy Lake Campground and Marina, Makanda, Illinois

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were looking for a full hookup site near Carbondale and we found this park was the only one nearby. (9 miles) We got one of the 3 full hookup sites at this park. The hookups were a challenge as the water and electric were 15' on the right and the sewer connection ended up under the motorhome 20' of hose was needed. The park personnel were nice and accomodating. We had a wonderful view of the lake and plenty to watch with a fishing tournament going on. Our site was level but we noticed a few sites were not so be prepared. We camped at Little Grassy Lake Campground and Marina in a Motorhome.

Big Oak River Camp, Camp Wood, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here overnight as we were traveling through the area. We had the campground to ourselves with one other camper there. This is a very nice newer campground. The manager was very nice. The rate was the Passport America rate. We camped at Big Oak River Camp in a Motorhome.

Red Rock Canyon State Park, Hinton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for one night while traveling through. If you go to the end of the loop you will find three pull-through 50 amp full hookup sites. We got into the middle one but it was a tight fit for a 39'+ motorhome with a small car attached. It is a beautiful well maintained park with what looks like a new swimming pool and bath house. With our length we made it in and out just fine but it was tight. Most of the other back in sites look like they would accommodate our rig but looked to be electric and water only. Nice park. We camped at Red Rock Canyon State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here with a gathering of motorcyclists. It was a great place for a gathering of this size. The only complaint was the roads were very dusty. We camped at Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We stay a few times a year here at Ramsey Lake state park. It is a beautiful park and very well maintained by their friendly crew there. They even have a equine campground area that it supposed to undergo renovation. No complaints, love this park. We camped at Ramsey Lake State Park in a Motorhome.
