Dogwood Acres Campground, Newville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Off the beaten track. Stopped there for an overnight. But, I'd go back in season. There seams to be a lot to do when the campground is hopping. Large gravel sites. Friendly staff. We camped at Dogwood Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great stop for an overnight. It's near I81 and I77. Wide grassy sites, shaded. Staff friendly. I don't think I'd stay there more than a night or two. But, it's meant to be a stopover. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Delaware Seashore State Park, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Sites very tight. Can hear everything your neighbor is doing. No cable to speak of. Wi-Fi OK. If you're in to fishing this is the place to go. Mostly fishermen there. Good location to go the beach and outlets. Was there to visit friends. That's the only reason I'd go back. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were here for the RV show. Very convenient location to Hershey. Clean and shaded sites, Tight and gravel, though. Could hear I-76 from our site. Not given Wi-Fi password info. Very friendly staff and nice park. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Gaston Americamps, Bracey, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

When we pulled in, it looked like a trailer park- but not in a good way. So many trailers with built in enclosures. UGLY to say the least. The road into the campground was fine, but to get out, it was narrow. The site was concrete and very large. Out of the way to get there. But, was beautiful surrounding. Would go back to Lake Gaston, but I think I'd find another park. Convenient to interstate. We camped at Lake Gaston Americamps in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Wilderness Campground & RV Park, Whittier, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The roads to get into park were really narrow. The sites were gravel sort of level and narrow. Mostly full time residents there. We were "treated" to bad singing on the weekends. The owner is a very prejudice, but the manager was nice. The location was convenient to go the the NP. We came in Sept- so the pool was closed but I don't it was cleaned ever!! Don't stay here. We camped at Fort Wilderness Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
