Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly, cooperative staff with a can-do attitude. This is a large, beautiful, "out in the country" park. A bit pricey for the location, but a very nice place to stay. Our site was level. Off-leash dog park was fairly small, but a welcome feature. Combination private bathroom and shower was convenient and clean. On site store for snacks, ice cream, and supplies. The WiFi was terrific -- very fast, with great coverage everywhere in the park. (No trouble streaming video.) We would stay here again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Pikes Peak RV Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly, cheerful, and accommodating -- the park's owner, his wife, and staff set the tone for a pleasant stay. All spaces are back in and are fairly close to each other. When you enter the park, you might wonder how you'll be able to maneuver into your space. Fear not: The owner guides you in quickly and easily with a precision that I have never witnessed in another RV park! We watched in amazement as he guided rigs of all types and sizes into their spaces effortlessly. (Poetry in motion!) Our space was level and backed onto a creek with swiftly-flowing water that made a soothing sound. Bathrooms and showers were clean and of ample size. No cable TV (not an issue for us) or WiFi, but Verizon and T-Mobile wireless reception and data speeds are very good here. This park's location offers quick access to downtown Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. We would stay here again. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Seminole Campground and RV Park, North Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest RV parks we have ever visited. Many of the spaces are shaded by stately live Oak trees. Spaces are gravel, long and level, each with a concrete patio. All interior roads are paved -- no dust when it's dry, no mud when it's wet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is great -- unlike any other we have seen in an RV park! Restrooms/showers are large and are kept as clean as one would experience in a high-end hotel. There are plenty of washers and dryers, and they worked nicely. The grounds are cleaned and manicured throughout the day, and trash is picked up from every site daily. There is a nice dog park (one fenced-in area for small dogs, another for large dogs). The WiFi was the best we have ever experienced in an RV park -- it was super fast. Convenient location just off I-75, but you can't see the interstate from the park, and you usually can't hear much traffic noise. Close to area attractions and beaches, yet in an almost-rural setting. We've been to many RV parks in the Fort Myers area, and this is the most desirable one by far! We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Myers Beach RV Resort, Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Here's an RV park with a great location (near the beach, restaurants, shopping, entertainment). The rates are very reasonable, given the fine location. Such potential, yet sadly, this RV park doesn't come close to being all it can be. The roads in the park are narrow, turns are tight, and spaces are narrow. Yet, there are no employees that will guide you to your space! The park is managed by a young lad with a "can't do" attitude. He can be rather nasty. If I were in the service industry and treated customers the way I was treated by the manager, I'd be fired on the spot! Shame on Encore for tolerating this style of customer relations! The washers and dryers only take "smart cards"; no cash. You need to get a smart card from the office. If you check in after the office has closed for the day (an early 4 p.m. in season) and you want to do laundry, you're out of luck! Loading money into the card (from your credit card) is a cumbersome process, and can only be done in monetary increments that ensure after you do your laundry there will be money left over on the card, and you can't get it refunded. If you have a problem loading money into the card during the weekend, you're out of luck again. Customer service for the washer/dryer smart card system is only available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Water in two of the showers in the Ladies room doesn't drain. Yuck! A couple of people told me this problem was reported months ago! There is no onsite convenience store. If you need some common supplies, you have to go shopping offsite. The pool closes at dusk. (In the winter, that's 6 p.m. in Fort Myers.) It would have been nice to be able to take a dip until 9 p.m. as we can do at many other RV parks.) The pool and spa are nice, but the spa water temperature was way below normal...Brrr! WiFi only reaches the activity room, exercise room and the pool at the very front of the park, and the speed is very slow. Cable TV is provided to each site at no additional cost. It's an old system (no HD), but on the plus side, a cable box is not required. Trash is picked up from each site daily, and the park is kept clean. All in all, it's hard for this old-style RV park to justify using the word "resort" in its name. Unless all other RV parks in the area are full, you'd be wise to pass on the Fort Myers Beach RV Resort and stay somewhere else. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Navarre Beach Campground, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest RV campgrounds we have ever visited! Park is kept clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Ladies and Men's facilities were nicer than what you'd find in most homes. Good pool. Short drive to Navarre beach. Pleasant area in the back of the park overlooks the water. Next time we're in this area, we will definitely stay here again. (Nice cabins available too -- ideal for non-RVers.) We camped at Navarre Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Famil-E-Fun Campground and RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A really-nice RV campground run by mom and pop, not a big company, who are very friendly and helpful. Quiet location and convenient to Mitchell. Park is very clean. Small on-site general store is well-stocked with sundries and food items. Rates are very reasonable. We camped at Famil-E-Fun Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.
