North River Campground, Shawboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Camped on lakeside lot. Was escorted to site and hookups explained. Great cable but the WiFi was horrible . only worked for 1 day out of 3. Also no phone for T Mobile customers. We enjoyed our stay. We camped at North River Campground in a Motorhome.

Kluane RV Kampground, Haines Junction, Yukon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here on the way to Haines AK. The owners were new and had water problems from the local council, so there was no water on site or in the bathrooms or showers. The WIFI was Ok but there were only about 6 other campers in the area. I believe the trash can was out front in the gas pump area. The view from our site was amazing-a full vista of the St Elias mountains. We stayed one night and the office staff were cordial and apologetic. We camped at Kluane RV Kampground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We asked about local oil change facility. Owner referred us to an independent, but they would not do it --too close to closing time. Went to Walmart ---$66.00 for Synthetic and filter. Oshkosh outlets are close. We travelled to Green Bay and visited Packers Stadium, awesome facility well worth a visit.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't try to get here on 87 from Mt Rushmore. Our GPS failed to warn us of a 9'6" tunnel on the road. The campground will tell you via email but we did not get it in time. Campground is great for Rushmore, Crazy Horse and all the sights in the area. We camped in Bike week and it was not crowded.

Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here July 1-5. Campground is dirty, crowded and ill maintained, It is a disgrace to the National Park service, The gravel roads are rutted with holes full of standing water and mosquitoes are present day and night. We were in E. Sites are tight. no room for our awning and our toad barely fit alongside the rig. There appears to be no cleanup crew as trash was everywhere. Yellowstone is awesome but this campground spoiled our overall experience. They warn of bears here---bears don't visit cess pits!! We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.
