Cochise Terrace RV Resort, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We had to change travel plans due to the "shut-down" of the USA government. This brought us here and this was a happy surprise. Very friendly and helpful staff during check-in and the other days of our three days visit. Wide and large spaces for every size of equipment. The owner insisted on blocking the entry of our pull-through #296 with a pylon after we left for an excursion so nobody could take this place. Nice clubhouse with 2 pool tables, large kitchen and many more. Laundry is large and has coin machine for quarters. Pool is much larger than average campground and is heated if necessary. During our visit it was 79F, but due to colder nights the pool was already heated. Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, Cable offers 67 analog channels and a couple of digital channels. There is even a putting field available, finally something else than the horseshoe fields. We enjoyed all of our three days and will definitely return. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Roper Lake State Park, Safford, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A big surprise thanks to the "shut-down" of the USA government. For this reason we had to change travel plans and ended up in this state park instead of a national park. This park is very well maintained. Clean showers and restrooms. Also day use areas are very well kept. Very large sites. When you would look at our site (#40), you would think that we would be the only one in the area, but behind the trees the other sites are there. Still, this gives a very private feeling. Staff was very friendly. Next times we will definitely look more to state parks instead of national parks. We camped at Roper Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Page Lake Powell Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a real surprise for the money! You get discount with Good Sam, KOA, Triple A, 55+ seniors (and some others that I can't remember), so you can't miss the discount. Very spacious and level sites. Nice view over the red mountains. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Another surprise was the indoor heated swimming pool and whirl pool. Staff at check in was very friendly. This is a campground that we will definitely will visit again. I think the best campground in the greater Page area. We camped at Page Lake Powell Campground in a Motorhome.

Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

This was a very nice KOA campground. We had a back-in site, which was very easy to access. Sites were spacious and lots of green around them. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Haven't looked at the laundry facilities. We would recommend this facility in the Cedar City area to others. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Motorhome.

Camp-N-Town, Carson City, Nevada

We were allowed to pick our own site. We ended with a shaded site closed to to the office and entrance. Sites were wide and level. Laundry room was big, 2 dollar for washing and two quarters will do the drying. Showers were clean; however, one of the three showers in the gents room was not working. We camped at Camp-N-Town in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground. Spacious pull-through sites with beautiful grass between them. Sites are very well maintained. Free mini-golf was nice to play. Laundry is only one dollar and was very clean as well. Staff was very friendly. I needed some batteries, but they did not sell them. However, I got them for free! Restrooms are very clean and spacious. The perfect campground for exploring the neighborhood like Craters of the Moon. Campground offers free breakfast and you can order dinner in a small restaurant area of the lobby. We will stay here again when we will be in the neighborhood. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.
