The Little Campground, Banner Elk, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet 4-space park with ample space at your site; good, friendly service. The only reason I didn't rate 10 is a little tight for a 39'motorhome and have to unhook toad before campground about .5 mi away but a large church parking lot there. Beautiful calming creek right behind our site. Wifi excellent; full hookups and table with patio. We stayed 3 nights, cash or check only. We camped at The Little Campground in a Motorhome.

Pratt County Veterans Memorial Park, Pratt, Kansas

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice pretty place on a small lake; not too far off Hwy 54. Really liked the long, level pull-thru sites; only a couple of others here when we stopped for one night; water was off due to temps but they have frost-free faucets so not sure why. Honor system for paying. We did notice there is a sign on the road after the last turn to get to campground that it says road is limited to 24,000 weight and there was a small bridge so we continued; maybe that limit is farther around the lake because our GPS didn't stop us. Would stay here again. We camped at Pratt County Veterans Memorial Park in a Motorhome.

Shady Acres Campground, Mobile, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here in a 39 ft motorhome towing a car for an overnight stay. Long level pull-thru; great wifi (but we were parked close to the office); everything fine. The only reason not rated higher is because a little tight maneuvering getting in here and around but still possible. Nice and close to I-10; manager was very nice and helpful. We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet off the beaten path small park. All back in spots; some kind of hard to be level but can do if you look. Wifi is good except can't do streaming but it is mentioned in the rules. Would stay here again; host very accommodating. We camped at Abbeville RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pima County Fairgrounds, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a couple of nights here in and was treated very well. Although there are many kinds of sites, they put us on a level blacktop site with 50 amp and had plenty of space to park toad. They do have WiFi here and it is very good. Being close to I-10 is a plus. I used the laundry and it was clean and nice; altho, only 3 washers/4 dryers. Would definitely recommend and stay again. We camped at Pima County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Whip In RV Park, Big Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here overnight in a motorhome. Utilities were good and good fast wifi. Nice long, level gravel site (pull-thru). Sites are a little close but not unbearable; check-in staff was friendly and helpful. Minor highway noise but easy on/off. We camped at Whip In RV Park in a Motorhome.

Valley Gateway RV Park, Edinburg, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

My second review; again this is Edinburg's best kept secret. Nice long level sites. While here this time the owner was here (he is usually off-site) and he improved our wifi greatly and added several antennas. Only complaint is interior roads are dirt and when it rains a lot, they are muddy. Otherwise, couldn't ask for a nicer out of the way park in the country. About 16 miles from the valley's hub bub and congestion. We camped at Valley Gateway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Almost Home RV Park, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Called in advance and guy was nice and said he had one pull-through for travelers but would not be on site. Snow was on ground but warm-up was in progress; got stuck a little but cable and Wi-Fi were great. Self pay; rate is for 50 amp service; didn't wander out due to snow and melting. Suggest owner invest in a snow plow. Most people are permanents. Would stay here again. We camped at Almost Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kountry Air RV Park, Prattville, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful. Not exactly big rig friendly, but she routed us through the park and into a different entrance so we could fit in a nice level pull-through. Quiet. Rate was $32.60 with Good Sam Rate. We camped at Kountry Air RV Park in a Motorhome.

Osage Prairie RV Park, Nevada, Missouri

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Great location and nice level, long pull-throughs. Good Wi-Fi and the staff very friendly and helpful. Only had one over-the-air TV channel though. No cable. Would stay again. Couldn't really appreciate all amenities with sub-zero temps. We camped at Osage Prairie RV Park in a Motorhome.

El Rancho Campgrounds, Vaughn, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

No one around; self pay and the rate cited is with a Good Sam discount. Tight entries and had to pull out and in a side entrance to get to one of three pull-through sites. Sign out front said Wi-Fi and could see the access point on my computer but it didn't work; got another site close by to work instead. Only one very fuzzy over the air TV channel; some train noise. Only OK for overnight stay. Site somewhat unlevel. We camped at El Rancho Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Seven Winds RV Park, Liberal, Kansas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is OK for overnight. People were not around at first so we parked and later they showed up. Pull thrus are a little tight but will do. Mostly permanents there. Good cable (25 channels), Wi-Fi good, and some train noise but not too bad. Close to highway but with such little traffic there was no noise from that. Staff was friendly but squirrely, somewhat. We camped at Seven Winds RV Park in a Motorhome.

Palm Gardens RV & MH Park (55+ park), Harlingen, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here to be near all the RGV towns to see and S. Padre Island. Treated well by staff and put on nice level gravel pull-thru spot. Wifi good but had antenna right by our site so don't know if it would be good all over. A lot of permanents and Canadians and everyone in park was very friendly. Free citrus all over the place. Roads a little curvy and somewhat narrow for big rig towing car but possible. Laundry was clean but a lot of washers were out of order; said new ones were coming. This was better for us than the huge parks farther west in the valley but the Harlingen traffic could be very busy too. Would consider staying here again. We camped at Palm Gardens RV & MH Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Valley Gateway RV Park, Edinburg, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

All sites are level, some more gravel than others; some just dirt but most are long. It has one of the best wifi we've had anywhere. No cable but manager, host and guests all very friendly. Only thing wrong is maybe nearby 281 road noise but didn't keep us awake. Very quiet out of the way place. We camped here 6 nights and would stay again. We camped at Valley Gateway RV Park in a Motorhome.
