Lake Maloney SRA, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place to go fish. North boundary of the RV park is along the canal that feeds the lake, Lots of fish! Stayed three days and enjoyed the park. I would say here again! Park is going through an upgrade this winter and they will be upgrading the electric to 20/30/50 on all sites I believe. We camped at Lake Maloney SRA in a Fifth Wheel.

Austin Lone Star RV Resort, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place, well kept. Site was level and well taken care of. Employees were very helpful. Very pleasant place. I really liked the Dog pen next to the Laundry. Turn them loose and do your Landry. Only thing found wrong were some of the outside roads needed some work, but think they'll get that taken care of before long. I would return here again! We camped at Austin Lone Star RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Dot RV Park, Houston, Texas

Overall first impression was the camground looked very old. Mostly Long termer here, which is not an issue. Assigned a site and found it was filled. On Duty Manager stated "well if they won't move, I'll shoot out their tires" Second site the electrical meter was broken and live power appeared to be exposed. Site was noting but an uneven hole. Third site more level but uneven ground. Slab was poured crooked which made t hard to back in. Went to hook up power at panel and found inside cover missing "EXPOSED BUSSES". Since I knew something about electricity, I was able to plug in, but a child or unsuspecting adult could get electrocuted very easily. Place needs a ton of work. basically bull doze and start over. Spaces are too tight, I was in a 23 ft Jayco 5th wheel and had problems. Not enough room. Will not return! Good Sam needs to re-evaluate this campground. The rating it gives are too high! We camped at Red Dot RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Happy Trails RV Park, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $21.00

Overall first Impression was another old camp ground. Would not take credit or debit card had to pay cash. Assigned to a site and found there was not sewer hook up. Had to share with 13A I was in B. Could not reach the sewer even with a long hose. Power was a standard 20/30/50 connection for the two sites. Good thing I had a 50 to 30 amp adapter other wise I would not had electricity. The 20 amps did not work. Constant loud banging from the Wall-Mart distribution center next door. They hit a trailer so hard it hit their fence and darn near came into the park. Check out time was 11:00 I was just about finished and ready to leave at 10:15 when the Manager said I was going to owe her another day's rent and walked away. This place was a disaster waiting to happen. I will not stay there again!! I'd rate this place a -4. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
