Tishomingo State Park, Tishomingo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the park as we traveled along the Natchez Trace. This park is adjacent to the parkway make by it very convenient. The campground is wooded and pretty with sites along a small lake. Most sites had a concrete pad but they were in rough shape, cracked & buckled on many sites. Also, a lot of sites were short, making it difficult for large class A's to fit. The first restroom needed cleaning - it wasnt filthy but needed some attention, and was dated. There was a new restroom about midway thru the campground but I didn't use it. The restroom at the back of the campground was closed, causing many campers to drive up to the front ones. We had rained while we were there so we didn't explore the park. We camped at Tishomingo State Park in a Motorhome.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park along the Mississippi River. Clean welcoming office, pool & hot tub, nice sites. Every other site has a concrete pad with a grass site in between. It appeared that they fill the concrete pad sites first then fill in with the grass sites. When we were there mid-week in April, most concrete pads were taken. Without a reservation, we were able to get a riverside site with a concrete pad. Walk or bike the Riverwalk paved trail along the river. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Gulf State Park Campground, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Huge campground with many full service sites. Lots of bike trails, some which needed repaving, and some new ones being created. We were disappointed that many boardwalks appeared finished but were blocked to use, forcing us to ride along the highway to the pier & beach. Once opened, biking will be great. Nice beach & park. We camped at Gulf State Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Check out the 1500 foot long pier where fishermen are hauling in interesting good sized fish. A pass to the pier is included in your camping stay.

Grayton Beach State Park, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We were able to secure a campsite after checking at the gatehouse and the attendant checked, stating 2 sites would be open shortly. This is a wonderful park with a lovely sugar sand beach and many bike trails. Sites were private with water & electric. Restrooms were clean. We camped at Grayton Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Birmingham South Campground, Pelham, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is very clean. Restrooms were spotless and each shower stall was private with its own door. In mid April, almost every site was taken and the long RV in front of us was turned away, due to no big sites left. We noticed many long term campers. Nice place, but you may need reservations. We camped at Birmingham South Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice clean park. We had a nice grassy site along the lake. Lots of seasonal campers, mostly seniors and everyone was very friendly. Only about 30 minutes from the Frederik Miejer Gardens, which was our destination. We camped at Lakeside Camp Park in a Motorhome.

White River Campground, Cicero, Indiana

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely well-kept campground. Lots of grass & very little mud. Clean restrooms with nice modern tile. Scenic sites along the river. We fished right at our campsite and watched kayakers float by. Just across the river is Strawtown Koteewi Park with 5 miles of trails. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.
