Capulin RV Park & Camp, Capulin, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $96.00
Overall Rating:

Second stay at this RV/Cabin park as an overnight stop while traveling. We used both an RV spot and a cabin. The cabin was very cute, clean and comfortable. My kids said they slept better here than in a "top tier" condo at a Colorado ski resort that we had just left. The RV park is basically a big gravel parking lot with electric and water for each RV spot. As an overnight spot while traveling this place is great. It's right next to the highway but quiet enough to be comfortable. And the owners are super nice folks! We will plan on returning as we travel through this area each year. We camped at Capulin RV Park & Camp in a Motorhome.

Tiger Run RV Resort, Breckenridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Tiger Run is one of the nicest RV Parks we have visited. But for a high end park the folks here have discovered that since the demand for spaces here is high, they don't need to worry much about service. Examples include no notification that they were going to turn off water for a day. When washing machines break their answer is "we're not responsible and you are on your own". WiFi was not functional. Management says call WiFi company. WiFi company says call park management. Water pressure was so low that we had to use on-board tanks and pump. (perhaps related to why they turned off water for a day?) Our site was a back-in, and was long enough that we could park our car sideways behind the RV. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a nice hiking trail behind the park, and there is access to the bike trail system across the highway next to the park. Getting a space is a challenge because of the demand. I started calling a year in advance and called them every month. Like many parks, you can probably expect the cost to increase 25% each year for the foreseeable future.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed a couple nights while in Santa Fe. Park is pretty much all gravel but our site had a nice level cement pad and patio with chairs & table. Folks running the place were very nice. They had a decent dog run that was nice to use. We will certainly stay there again when we are next in Santa Fe. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beachfront RV Park and Resort, Freeport, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Second trip here. Came back because it is right on the beach and the people here are quite friendly. It is very much a family oriented park because of the beach, however they are building a huge bar & grill that will bring in a significant party crowd and in my opinion, make it much less family friendly. I would imagine the closer to the beach the louder the bar will be at your site. We are actually looking forward to bringing a group down specifically because of the new bar & grill. The sites are level, but very closely packed together. They have good wifi coverage, but the service speed makes it worthless. We camped at Beachfront RV Park and Resort in a Motorhome.

Diamond Campground and RV Park, Woodland Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Hard to add much more after reading the other reviews. Nice folks running the place. It's a clean park with lots of trees, so it is a very nice environment. But it was hard to get a clear satellite signal. They were full, and everyone was packed in pretty tight. Many spaces were very tight. They had a great dog run area and we had deer running through our campsite every day. There are a lot of full time, and summer campers there and they were all nice. We will make it a point to go back. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We had an overnight stay on our travel. This place is a great spot for that. It is very convenient to Hwy 287. Nice folks running the place. They have a nice area for the dogs to run. We will return. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beachfront RV Park and Resort, Freeport, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $88.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is a walkway over the dunes to the beach. You can't get any closer without actually parking on the beach. There are a few restaurants within walking distance on the beach. It is a nice facility and the owner is a nice guy. The sites were fairly close together, but not so bad the slides were touching. We were there over spring break and it was a family friendly place. We will be going back. We camped at Beachfront RV Park and Resort in a Motorhome.

Jellystone Park at Coyote Ranch RV Resort, Wichita Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed there on the very busy weekend of Hotter N Hell hundred bike races. When I arrived there were two RV's ahead of me at the gate, but they had staff members coming out to greet the arriving guests, so check in was quick and easy.

They have a nice clean park and all the sites around where we were parked had nice soft grass that was well groomed. (Was kind of a treat since they have had very little rain in the past couple months)

The parking pads were both back in and pull-thru.

Trash service is great, just drop off your trash bags at the edge of your site in the morning and they come pick it up.

There seems to be a lot for kids to do there, but we don't have kids anymore so didn't pay attention. They also offered breakfast & dinner on this weekend, but we had other plans and didn't attend.

They do have cable TV hook up, but the quality of the signal was not very good. We camped at Jellystone Park at Coyote Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Oakdale Park, Glen Rose, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Second stay at the park. First time was during a quiet time of year, and park was practically empty. Last time park was pretty full.

Actually is an old city park with large swimming pool, a pavilion, cabins, etc. Is nice and quiet. Parking spots are level, compressed gravel, and work just fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Looked like there were a few full timers there, so mostly used for weekend & short stays. The parking spots were fairly close to each other, but not uncomfortable. There are some trees which is nice. There is also a nice big field next to the rv park that we use to exercise the dog. Electricity, sewer & water connections were good. We will return. We camped at Oakdale Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Glen Rose is a nice quiet town. Not really a great destination, but if you're traveling through, this would be a good place to stop. We go there to train & race mostly. If you have kids the pool would be nice as it is huge.

Oakdale Park, Glen Rose, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 3 days over a weekend. It was a quiet time as there were mostly empty spots in the park. There was a very nice pool with a fountain that I am sure would be enjoyable for the kids, but it was a bit cold and no one swimming those days. We camped at Oakdale Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Glen Rose is a nice quiet town that we visit often to train for our cycling races. There are a couple nice shops downtown and the Texas dinosaur park, which I have not visited. We will return to this RV Park as we enjoyed the quiet location.

WinStar RV Park, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed at this RV park twice while visiting the casino and to see a concert.

Check in was smooth & friendly. They had both pull-through & back in spaces. All on wide flat pads. Electricity & water worked well. Was able to connect to the wifi, but got no data transfer. The park is within walking distance to the casino, but when the weather was bad it is convenient to have the free shuttle drop you off at your doorstep! We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Motorhome.
