Turquoise Valley Golf Course and RV Park, Naco, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park shows up on Passport America, but the information is wrong, so I'm not sure that they still belong. The park and golf course are under new management, doing business on a shoestring. The golf course is still in great shape and cost-wise, the best deal in Arizona if you are staying a month to play. The RV park is still very basic, small sites, limited 50 amp sites, good laundry facilities that could use better cleaning. There is no Pro shop anymore - all dealings for golf and RV park take place at the bar. There is often confusion over pricing and other issues. No solid information is posted. We come here for the golf, which is great if you can ignore the rest of it. We camped at Turquoise Valley Golf Course and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly Acres RV Park, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Whenever we go to Yuma, we stay at Friendly Acres. It is not a big, fancy park - it is an older park with quite a few older park models. It is neat and clean, and very friendly. They have pull through sites for daily or up to a week, which are right beside the pool and laundry. These sites are not very wide, but the location of the park is good for access to whatever you might want to do in Yuma. This is a gated RV park, with an access code for after 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe RV Park, Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Santa Fe is a spotless RV park. There is a good mix of 5th wheels, motorhomes and park models. The managers are very friendly and helpful, as are many of the residents. The park is kept spotless and is on the outskirts of Apache Junction, but handy to shopping and activities. We camped at Santa Fe RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shadow Ridge RV Resort, Ajo, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park and the lower sites are quite narrow, but fine if you have no slides or a smaller RV. There were a few older motorhomes without slides and some Pleasureway type units in these sites. There are nice wide sites on the upper levels. It's not a fancy park and there are limited park activities, but this is Ajo. The laundry is cheap ($1.25 wash and .50 dry) and the laundry and washrooms are clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Quite a few Canadians. We saw one small site with a tent and van. Some younger couples, so it's not 55+. Wi-Fi is excellent and there is cable TV for those of us without satellite. We would stay here again. We found it very friendly and convenient. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We came into Desert Trails RV Park for 3 nights and the next day changed to 1 week. We ended up staying 3 weeks and would have stayed longer except our spot was spoken for. There are lots of activities in the park and the entertainment brought in is very good. A meeting is held every Monday morning and the room is packed. A show of hands determines whether food truck or entertainers return as well as other decision making events. The park is itself as casual as the customers who love it here. Everyone is very friendly. The RV park is convenient to shopping, propane, Post Office, Casinos and Golf. Right out back and easily accessible from the park are trails and bike paths. Old Tucson and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum are just "down the road". We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly Acres RV Park, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly Acres was a nice clean and friendly RV park. We were only there 3 nights to visit with friends, but were treated well on arrival, and others in the park were friendly. We didn't take part in any activities. The laundry was excellent with a nice big clothes line area. The pool was excellent and well used. Location of the park is very convenient to all levels of shopping or restaurants in Yuma. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
