Tuckahoe State Park, Queen Anne, Maryland

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

No ranger or camp host on site. Sites are nice, as state parks usually are. No WIFI. Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. Especially in the showers. They have the plastic mats in the stalls and I don't think they have been lifted up in a long time to be cleaned properly. Just an okay place to stay but we would not return. We camped at Tuckahoe State Park in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects AAA dsc. We LOVED this park. You cannot ask for a better proximity to DC. Staff were A+. From check-in we knew we had a winner here! They even run a "Tour Seminar" everyday at 4 pm (on season) to help explain all the tour options. We can whole-heatedly recommend this park and would definitely return. The only small downside and the reason I did not give it a "10" is because it is close to one of the freeways. You cannot see the freeway but you can hear it so be aware of that. Really, it does not pose any issue. The park was here long before the big freeway. The city grew up around it. You will NOT find a better run park, from the check-in to the pools to the café and laundry!!! LOVE IT!! We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Virginia Landing, Quinby, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America rate and that is the only good thing about this park. It suffered substantial damage during Hurricane Sandy in Oct 2012 and has never been totally repaired. Some of the grass is very nicely cut and manicured but other areas and sites are just broken with no look of repair coming. If you check their website it really shows the way it WAS, not how it is now. Too bad. Won't return ever and do not recommend it. We camped at Virginia Landing in a Motorhome.

Sebastian Inlet State Park, Melbourne Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was nice and bathrooms were clean. We gave this park a "7" because some of the facilities (swimming area, wifi at store) were on the other side of the channel. You have to go over a highway bridge to get to them so if you have little kids you have to drive. You can stay on the same side of the channel and walk to the ocean (10 minutes) and have superb beachcombing without crossing the highway. Very nice spot and I would return if through area again. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Nice bathrooms and laundry at bathroom bldg. Good biking around park and into Ormond Beach on sidewalks. Nice camp store called "The Outpost". Great couple who run that with little concerts that they perform in on Friday & Sat nights. Very enjoyable stay and we would definitely return again. We camped at Tomoka State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice staff in office and wifi there as well. We liked this park although it was not really close to anything that we wanted to see. Still, we would return if through the area again. Nice bathrooms. Laundry machine was in outside, covered porch area of bathroom building and worked fine. We camped at Crooked River State Park in a Motorhome.

Sands Of Time Campground, Avon, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America. Great park and a great area. We loved it here. A bit of an old park but nonetheless well maintained. Only little downside was the sulfur smell of the water in the bathrooms. Caused by an hurricane from a while ago. All the site waters are fine though as they are on city water. Just the bathroom bldg is on the old well. You can bike ride or walk to the ocean in 10 minutes. Loved it! Can definitely recommend it and we would definitely return, only for longer next time. We camped at Sands Of Time Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

What a great park! Super convenient to the Opryland Hotel and Grand Ole Opry. Very efficient staff and great sites. Plus, huge props to everyone here for the exceptionally clean bathrooms. Would definitely recommend staying here. Our rate was reflective of a AAA membership and we do not use sewer hook-ups. Thanks everyone here!! We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

Easterlin Park Campground, Oakland Park, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful setting but unfortunately the city has grown up around the park. Very noisy with freeway very close by and metro train near as well. If you could take away the noise it would be a real winner. Still, it is a well patrolled park with security and camp host on site and we enjoyed our stay. Bathrooms were okay. We camped at Easterlin Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Miami Everglades Resort, Miami, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park but has many permanent trailers and workers. Staff is nice and they have a good camp store, complete with wine! Lots of social activities and pool looks nice but we did not use it or attend the social activities. Located in agricultural area so it is not near anything but it is quiet. We camped at Miami Everglades Resort in a Motorhome.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Hobe Sound, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean bathrooms. No laundry. This park has two areas. The top one is by the highway and seems more suited to bigger rigs. The river campground is the nicer of the two areas. You can ride to the little store for wifi and the setting is very nice. We would return again if through the area. We camped at Jonathan Dickinson State Park in a Motorhome.
