Carrollwoods RV Campground, Tabor City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best parks I have stayed in. All large pull through sites. Very well spaced. Owner is extremely helpful. Suggested areas to travel to as well as local restaurants. Stayed on my way to FL and again on my way back. Little of the beaten track but a great place for a few days or a few weeks. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Saddleback Campground, Northwood, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

I gave this campground a low review because of the overall attitude of the owners as well as the campground in general. This is by no means a high end campground. Very basic. Most sites don't have 50amp or sewer. We wondered why there where so many empty seasonal sites and we were told by other seasonal's that the owner had thrown several of them out at one time. While people were quick to add that at least one of them was a trouble maker the others were all well liked by fellow campers. We did get the feeling that other seasonal campers planned on leaving once the season was over. This is not a place I could recommend. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Saddleback Campground, Northwood, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Although this is a pretty campground it ends there. Pond water is dirty. Playground is just OK. No 50amp or sewer unless your seasonal. Twice in the four days we were there the owner had altercations with two different campers. Not very professional. We camped at Saddleback Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Old Mill Stream Campground, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

Came in late at night and all my information was posted on the board just as they told me it would be. Site was clean and access was easy. Water hookup was on the opposite side of the trailer but not a huge inconvenience for a two day stay. Staff in the office was friendly. I had a coupon for an extra night if we stayed for two and they accepted it without hesitation. We camped at Old Mill Stream Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Price was a little on the high side but I opted for a pull thru with 50 amp. That added $7.00 onto the base price.

Hammondell Campsites, Winter Haven, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 4 months at the monthly rate of $475 plus electric. WiFi was limited as we were in the rear of the park but not a major problem as we opted for the extended TV and WiFi thru the local provider. While the sites are somewhat narrow and some of the paved streets are not the widest this is more than offset by management and the people that reside in the park.

We have stayed in different parks and in different cities within FL and this is by far the friendliest park we have had the pleasure of staying at. The manager, is the greatest. Plenty of planned activities to keep everyone busy or lounge around the pool...your choice.

Made a lot of friends that we now stay in contact with. Can't wait to go bad next winter. We camped at Hammondell Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Most any store or restaurant you could think of is within a short drive of the campground. One hour from Disney, Universal and the airport.

Hammondell Campsites, Winter Haven, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Staying for 3 months at the monthly rate of $475. Management is the best, folks are very friendly and welcoming, activities are great and something going on several times a week. There are a few overnight sites in the front that are pull through but to me they are very close together and parking is difficult at best. Overall most of the winter sites are small. Yes there are some exceptions but for the most part your on top of your neighbor. Would I come back...yes...but I would be very careful about the site I was going to be on. We camped at Hammondell Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty of things to do in the area. Most every restaurant imaginable is within a short drive. About 50 miles to the Orlando airport and probably a little less to Disney. Legoland is a couple of miles away.

Beaver Dam Campground, Berwick, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Park is beautiful. The owners work nonstop. Office help was polite and helpful. They have a dog park that is in fair condition and gets used regularly. The majority of the sites that back up to the pond do not have sewer. But with that said they have a fantastic view. There activities are based on children and are run on the weekends. Close proximity to all of Maine's popular southern beach areas. You get one hour of free Wi-Fi each day but you can buy a daily/weekly service for a fair price. No cable TV offered. That I would have liked for an extended stay. Will return. We camped at Beaver Dam Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Meadow Campground, Chichester, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time we stayed at the campground. I vowed I wouldn't stay here again but we have friends in the area and it is convenient. Never again...it was a bigger dump than the first time. Roads with big holes that collect water and mud during the mildest of rains. Bathrooms, that are fairly new, were filthy. Activities are strictly for kids and the ones they promote for adults are taken over by the kids and no one seems to care. Pools is the only good feature but not enough to offset everything else. This time I will never go back.. We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Motorhome.

Twin Mountain Motor Court & RV Park, Twin Mountain, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed a week and enjoyed it very much. You have to be self contained because there are no restrooms or showers. All sites are pull through and there is ample room between the sites. There is a pool table along with numerous board games available in the office. Cable TV and Wi-Fi both worked well. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Twin Mountain Motor Court & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is clean and the sites are all fairly good size and level. WiFi is very slow but served our purpose. Cable worked well. Good for a stop over when traveling. Very little to do in the area. We camped at McIntosh Lake Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Many Mansions RV Park, Dade City, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a couple of months so the nightly rate was much lower. Campground is nice. Onsite managers are fantastic. Always around and always willing to help in any way they can. Sites are fair sized. They do run activities in the winter that are nice but a lot of them are held outside in a pavilion.......fine if the weather is nice. They do have a small hall for some things like bingo, small groups. There is no rec. hall to speak of. The one pool table in the pavilion is in pretty tough shape. The biggest deterrent for us was the constant trains. They all blow there whistle at the numerous crossroads and many stop and back up to unhook cars as necessary.....again blowing the horns constantly. With that being said, if your the type of person that can tone out the trains this could be an enjoyable place to stay. For us it was not and we will not return. We camped at Many Mansions RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Meadow Campground, Chichester, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a couple of times over the summer. The restrooms were never what I would consider to be clean. The showers had soap scum on the walls and floors. Mirrors were always dirty. While the do have activities they are all based around kids.....nothing wrong with that but the kids take over what should be the adult times as well and management does nothing. Sites are good size but they never mow the grass. On the plus side they do have a new pool that is very nice. Would not go back... We camped at Great Meadow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
