Olde Stone Village RV Park, McMinnville, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We are not full timers, but have been RVing for the last twenty-five years all over the country as well as several coast to coast trips. Believe me, we have experienced the full range of places to park. Old Stone Village is the nicest park we've experienced. Sparkling clean bathrooms and laundry, very nice grounds, great staff, and great location among other features. Also just an $8 Uber trip to old town. Don't miss it. We camped at Olde Stone Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Darlings Resort & RV Park, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We love this place. Family owned and, more importantly, family operated. Just can't beat the friendly service and genuine concern for guests. Café/grill food is really good and reasonable. We stayed here with family in August and enjoyed three water front sites reserved in June. Will return often. We camped at Darlings Resort & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shoreline RV Park, Eureka, California

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We don't hit the road to find and stay in RV parks. What I mean is that the park of the day is, for us, nothing more than a place to park, not our desired destination. I think, therefore, that we just aren't as critical or demanding as other reviewers. Yeah, the sites are a little narrow but plenty long. If you usually pull in and put out your awning and chairs and grill and just want to hang our in the park then this place isn't for you. Find an RV "Resort," Shoreline is clean, well maintained, has great staff, and is a wonderful location is you want to visit Eureka. The new paved Shoreline Trail or Walk is right there. Old town is a short bike ride or 15 minute walk away. Very convenient gas station aty the entrance. We'd stay here again. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pacific Holiday RV Resort, Long Beach, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Honestly, other reviewers are being overly polite in describing the sites as "small" or "tight." They are the smallest, tiniest RV sites we've ever encountered and, like Farmers Insurance, we've seen a thing or two. I stepped ours off and it was just a little over twelve feet wide. Maybe six feet between our door and the side of our neighbor's rig. Really could not put our awning out more than a few feet. I'd skip this one. We camped at Pacific Holiday RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Columbia Riverfront RV Park, Woodland, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful location to be sure. Pretty expensive we thought. Beware of the rules. Older guy riding around in his golf cart nicknamed "Grumpy." I think that one of the rules is that he's not allowed to smile or even return waves or greetings. Never, ever experienced a $2.50 PER PERSON charged for guests stopping by the site for dinner or even a quick visit. Great location and scenery, but a park run by unhappy people. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nehalem Bay State Park, Nehalem, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Actually snagged a cancellation somehow for an overnight stay in July. Absolutely beautiful state park. Way to go, Oregon! There are several loops and some of the campsites are larger than others. "E" loop had pretty small sites. "F" loop looked to have the largest sites. Regardless, a wonderful park and fantastic beach. Another reminder of how shameful the California parks have become. Stayed in a 24 ft. class c. We camped at Nehalem Bay State Park in a Motorhome.

Scandia RV & Mobile Park, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Not many choices actually in Bend and the others are expensive. Scandia is in town in az great location. This is not a resort, folks, it's an RV Park. Park, un-hook, and explore the area. Extremely clean and well managed. Call ahead since they are very busy.

You park on asphalt, not concrete. All drives are paved and sites have a nice grass area.

Overall excellent stay. We camped at Scandia RV & Mobile Park in a Travel Trailer.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Great overnight park. Gravel sites, easy in and out, and perfect location relative to the highway. Remember, this is not Orlando, Fl., so if you're looking for a deluxe RV "resort," keep on driving. Can't say enough about the over the top service by the owner. Problem with my newest Good Sam's membership number showing expired even after entering several different phone numbers. Gave us the discount anyway. I was sitting at the site table getting ready to call Good Sam's when he pulled up in his golf cart to tell me that he'd just gotten off the phone with them and had everything straightened out!! Had our correct member info written on one of his business cards. Just doesn't get any better than that. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Desert Willow RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Overall Rating:

If you're traveling west Texas on Hwys 20 and 10 and looking for RV "Resorts" stop looking because there aren't any! Desert Willow is a great place to overnight. Easy access, a short distance off the Interstate, clean, friendly, and very reasonable. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Checking out the El Capitan Hotel is a must. Read good reviews about Van Horn Cattle Co. steak house and was disappointed. It wasn't bad, but nothing special either. Chuey's looked more interesting and we would have eaten there had we stayed another night. The menu and what we saw being served at El Capitan looked wonderful. Relatively expensive but worth it. There's a chef at work in that kitchen. Nice bar!
