Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with other reviews that the facility is clean and well maintained. It is however right above a truck stop on I-40 and not at all quiet. OK for overnight but not the quiet country setting as described in their display ad. WIFI was adequate not fast. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Truck Camper.

Pullen Creek RV Park, Skagway, Alaska

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The location is the best thing about this place. At the waterfront and near public parking and the ferry dock. The problem of cruise ship passengers cutting through has been addressed with fencing; and we didn't see anyone cut through. However, there is no reason for the poor upkeep. Nothing is mowed or kept up outside. The restrooms are tolerable but obviously unmaintained; dirty and full trash bins. Showers are pay. We had adequate power and water at our site. The manager was nice enough. Plenty of free public parking down by the waterfront. We camped at Pullen Creek RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Lost Alaskan RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest park we have stayed in. It was about 85-90% full when we were here. The restroom and laundry building is in a central location; the restrooms are new and well designed and kept immaculately clean. The machines in the laundry were fairly new and all were working. We met the work-camper staff who were all friendly and helpful. The park is well laid out, located at the north end of town on SR118. There are long-term spots for weekly or monthly rates but there don't seem to be any "permanent" residents. The park is very clean and well maintained. We camped at Lost Alaskan RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Bottomless Lakes State Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Compared with other states, New Mexico State Parks have great rates for the service they provide. I don't know how they do it, but I'm not sure if it will last since every other state seems to be raising their rates. The campground loop with hookups is spacious and well maintained. Restrooms could use more hooks for hanging clothes and shower curtains(they are private stalls but no curtains on the shower stalls). Wi-Fi works reasonably well. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Truck Camper.

Datil Well Campground (BLM), Datil, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground but the BLM has posted a large sign at the entrance that describes how due to budget constraints they have reduced services. The main effect is there IS NO WATER. This is a big issue as it is one site where the BLM website states they have water. There is no WIFI as other reviewers have stated, no firewood and there was no staff onsite. We camped at Datil Well Campground (BLM) in a Truck Camper.
