Anderson Camp , Eden, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

I am so sorry to write a negative review of this campground because parts of it are really nice but the parts that are not are really bad. The spaces are roomy with grass and lots of shade trees and full hook-ups. That's the good part. The bad part is the cleanliness. We stayed 3 nights/4 days and in the entire time we were here the bathrooms were never cleaned. Overflowing trashcans, hair in the showers, disgusting floors and toilets. And the worst part, when I went to do my "duty" they were completely out of toilet paper! Totally unacceptable. The outdoor recycle can bin was overflowing, too, and there were bags just sitting on the ground. We paid $34/ngt but when we showed up they tried to charge us $49. I said I had a confirmation with the $34 and they accepted that because they just raised their rates. I would never stay here again and definitely not at $49! We did not use the included swimming pool. We were afraid of the cleanliness. Too bad! It could be a nice place. Only other comment is that there is quite a bit of highway noise. I could deal with that if the place was clean! We camped at Anderson Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Cattail Cove State Park, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at Cattail Cove for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. It is well maintained and the staff we very pleasant. Wish there were a few more trees around, though. The restrooms are very clean and the showers are hot with good water pressure. It is on the lake so we were able to place our inflatable kayak right in at the boat dock. There are hiking trails there, as well, that whoever planned and maintains has done an outstanding job! You access them right from the campground. We really enjoyed every hike we did, and we covered them all...some more than once. Thank you for your time and efforts on these!! Much appreciated! We will be back! We camped at Cattail Cove State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Eagle RV Park, Thermopolis, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our brief stay here. The new owners are very helpful and informative and seem to take pride in their park. The restrooms and showers were nice and clean. We especially liked the shuttle service they offer to pick you up after rafting down the Big Horn River. Cost was $15 and well worth it. Thanks for a nice stay! We would stay again if coming through. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Catalina State Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park! The volunteers are very friendly and informative. They must take a lot of pride in what they do. We saw them at the gate and on the trails. The restrooms and showers where the cleanest we have found yet. There are nice hiking and biking trails. Though you feel away from it all, you are close to a large shopping area for necessities or dining. We would recommend this park. We camped at Catalina State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Campbell Cove RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Being new at RV'ing, we should have checked out the site prior to paying 5 nights. We were given the last spot. We were in the back row with the campers that live there full time. It was an absolute junk yard of old campers and stuff piled up all around. I asked for a refund, which they were unwilling to give, but did move us to a much better spot. Should you come to this RV park make sure you are not in the back row! Regardless of rows, they do pack you in like sardines. Two separate spots had to move their vehicles just so we could back in. Way too close for comfort. As for the "best views" they advertise? Not so much. It is a central location and close to the lake but don't expect a view of the lake like advertised. A plus, the laundry facilities looked new and were very clean. They charge an extra $3/night for 50 amp plus $2.50/day or $12.50/week for internet. Internet takes awhile to get on and sometimes you cannot get on at all. They only allow one device to gain access at a time. Cable is not good either, though we did not pay extra for that. Rate reflects Passport America discount at $21/day but after taxes, internet and 50 amp it was about $28 per night. We camped at Campbell Cove RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

White's City RV Park, Whites City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Registration is in the gift shop and when I entered the gentleman behind the counter did not acknowledge me so I finally asked if this was where I was to register. He said "Register for what". I responded "Camping". He asked what I was camping in and I said a 5th wheel. He then said "That is NOT camping! That is RV'ing and next time DO NOT say camping when you are not camping." I was astonished by his rudeness and should have walked right out! He was downright mean. Beyond that, the park was dirty. The ladies restroom/shower area was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. No paper towels, hair & dirt everywhere. Overflowing trashcans. I would never stay here again even if it is the closest RV park to Carlsbad Caverns. Rate reflects a AAA discount. We camped at White's City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
