Evaluating this park is tough because everything was frozen. The host did talk us through getting lost on the way to it and got us "unstuck" to get out of the park the next morning. For friendlineess/helpfulness they definitely get an A++ for 2 tired travelers looking for a place to land in a season of ice and for that we are very thankful.

This is a very nice park. We didn't stay because the weather was so bad. We parked in a spot with a lake view. I would think that for the price, we would have had cable but that was available for another up charge. It does take $$ to upkeep a park this nice though. It was a little bit confusing to get into. Once you pay to get into the gate (for parking if you do not have a reservation) there is a sign for camping pointing in the wrong direction of this particular campground. Just keep going the other direction as it takes a while to get to the registration spot.

We stayed here 2 nights. It was very peaceful and pet friendly. They probably have a lot of activity here in the summer time and have done a lot of improvements to this park. I wanted to drink my coffee in one of the many swings they had placed around the park, but unfortunately I had injured my ankle so I was not able to. If you need a place to just chill and soak up the pine needle smell this is your place (in March anyway). There are several people who live full time but a campground has to support themselves. I also recommend the laundromat in town as a good place to wash clothes. We didn't use the shower facilities. The spots were going to be extremely muddy when we left but we pulled out before the storm hit. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for our peaceful stay. We would return again.
