Elks Lodge #2504 , Oceano, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Located very close to the beach. Nice Elks lodge with frequent dinners and events on calendar. Spots are extremely tight. The RV parking is dirt lot with rope stringers to define space lines. No problem with electric or water. We camped at Elks Lodge #2504 in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Suggest Grover Beach or Arroyo Grande to get away from the touristy, overpriced, and mediocre restaurants. We had great authentic Mexican dinner at Me & Z.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Location is close to old town Cottonwood, but feels miles away. Tables, BBQ, fire pit, level asphalt site pads, nicely spaced. Very quiet. We'll come back. We camped at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Point of Rocks RV Campground, Prescott, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Our experience was mixed. The couple who run the park are very nice & our check-in went smoothly. The location is pretty spectacular with significant large boulders and a short hike to Watkins Lake. The space we were assigned was narrow, compounded by trees on both sides, and untrimmed twigs and branches encroaching into the space scratching up our vehicles. Once parked, we did fine, but there is a lot of dust kicked up with every passing vehicle. Seemed to be a good percentage of full-timers here, as evidenced by some "older" RVs with adjacent "junk piles" accumulating. All in all, an OK stay. We camped at Point of Rocks RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park), Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Good location. Check-in was easy. Really appreciated the management escort via golf cart showing us to our site and helping us get RV. The spaces are nice, wide & plenty of room to set up our outdoor accoutrements. Wi-Fi was a little spotty, but management seemed to be aware, and was attentive to the issue and re-setting as necessary. Camp store across the road and walkable distance from the park. Location is good for day adventures in the area. We thought it a "Go-Back Place". We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.
