Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park-Plymouth, IN, Plymouth, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I would not have guessed from the information that I found online that this was certainly not the park that was described. It is a very large park however only a very small part of it is available for short-term nightly use most of it is permanent residences I would not even call them long term they are permanent as in a mobile home park. The roads were very narrow with holes, the sites themselves were gravel but the weeds were quickly overtaking the gravel and if there are any guidelines or regulations for long-term permanent use they were not being followed. We were not there with any children however had we had one or two of our grandchildren with us I would not have let them use any of the park facilities. One other thing that their information said was that in the event of severe weather to use the restrooms for shelter as I said before it is a very large park and there was only one set of restrooms that I found on the park map which was at the completely opposite end of the park. Had there been bad weather my husband nor I would have been able to use that shelter while being slightly handicapped. I cannot recommend this park. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park-Plymouth, IN in a Motorhome.

Dub'l R RV Park, Brinkley, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We found this very basic park to be a nice place to spend an overnight. It is a Mom and Pop park that was level and clean. We did not ask but did not see any restrooms or showers. We were able to pick up local TV channels from Little Rock with our antenna. I did not inquire about WIFI since we use a Hotspot connection. The owners could not have been more friendly or hospitable. In fact, he came out to say goodbye when we were shutting down and as we were pulling out she called and told us to have a safe trip. I rated it a 7 only because of the lack of amenities. We camped at Dub'l R RV Park in a Motorhome.

Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Catherine's Landing deserves the 10 rating it has at the Good Sam site. I can't think of a negative. The park is well laid out and inspires you to get up and take a walk. Setting up on the concrete pads was no problem. It was quiet when we were there in April, but at that time they were only maybe half full. Wi-Fi and cable both worked good. Trash was picked up twice a day at the site. Sites were ample in length and width. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Cooper Creek Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campsite. We met quite a few people that have been returning here for numerous years which said a lot. Beautiful tall trees right on the Tanneycomo River. Wide sites with ample room for slides and awning. There was a picnic table and fire pit at each site with wood available. Owners were very friendly. The only negative we found was that the site we were in was not level. Very quiet, would return and recommend if you want a wooded campsite with water and fishing access. Did not use the laundry, restrooms or showers. We camped at Cooper Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Shadow Mountain RV Park & Campground, Mena, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, beautiful pine trees, level gravel type site. WiFi and cable available and both operated well. There was plenty of space for slides and awning plus a picnic table. It is a wooded campsite not a resort so keep that in mind. I did not use the restrooms or showers so I cannot comment on them. Some noise from Hwy 71 but not bad. Especially nice was that even though it was raining when we pulled in the owner came out to greet us and escort us to our site. She then returned with the registration papers and a very nice (handmade by her) gift. All in all we were very happy. The only reason I gave it a 9 was because of the highway noise. We camped at Shadow Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Peach Country RV Park, Stonewall, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Office personal were very friendly and helpful. Drive up was nice, clean, and appealing. Campsite was well maintained. The only negative I found was that it sits on Hwy 290, a very busy road. So if quiet is what you want, I would ask for as far off the highway as possible. Would definitely recommend and stay at again. We camped at Peach Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oakwood RV Resort, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were warmly greeted by the registration staff. We found the campsite to be very tight. If you want some feeling of "your own space" this might not be the place for you. There are some permanent residents there, or so it seemed, and some of their sites and equipment could use some upkeep. The only other comment I would have is that we were at the opposite end of the campsite from the dog walk area, we are not young and have some physical limitations, so even if you clean up after your dog (which everyone should) there is no grass except for the dog walk area. So keep that in mind when you book if this pertains to you. Cable was good, WiFi worked, site was level. We camped at Oakwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.
