North Crest RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great owner/mgr. Older park, lots of trees, but manageable for getting around. Our site was a little tricky to get into, but the mgr. asked for the keys to the long bed, double cab pickup and backed the 30' trailer into the spot on a level concrete slab with handy hookups. Dish TV hookup available, but we didn't use it. Clean, comfortable, friendly park. When outside, the I-35 noise is constant, but didn't hear it in the trailer. Not a fancy place, but a good stop with a number of long-termers. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Brazoria Lakes RV Resort, Brazoria, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park with excellent managers. It has "it" all; gated w/ 24 hr. coded access, water, sewer, power, cable, WiFi (not consistent), pool, laundry, everything cleaned often, level concrete sites with parking area and picnic table, lawn space between sites. New landscaping so don't drive off the concrete. Do need to improve (fence) their dog walks. We camped at Brazoria Lakes RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Las Cruces KOA, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is loved by its owners. I was concerned by the fee, but after spending a night here, it's obvious the owners return a lot of the fee into keeping up the public areas, sites, amenities, and grounds. Level, shaded, well equipped and positioned hookups. We will stay here the next time we're in the area. If your gps directs you to turn left, look right first; the park is above their banners on that hillside. We camped at Las Cruces KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Desert Cypress Mobile Home & RV Park, Wickenburg, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is tough. Generally nice park but expensive. Newer section gravel spaces with concrete patio are nice for size, but street side back-ins are noisy with traffic some ten feet away. Water pressure was ok, but weak in morning & evenings when others home. WiFi same. Not sure what will happen when the new additional sites come into service. Staff were nice; full timers cordial; seemed to be activities for those who wanted to participate. Doubtful we will stay here again. We camped at Desert Cypress Mobile Home & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cattail Cove State Park, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

When checking in we were advised the fee had just gone up for all state parks. Nice setting, took a little work to get level, clean area and nice staff. Water access, dump station, power and water. no over air TV or WiFi, cell service was good but on CA time. We camped at Cattail Cove State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Quail Run RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We checked in for 2 nites, but after talking to the managers we stayed 4. Sites and grounds very clean and level gravel with concrete patios and paved roads. Conscientious staff. Comfortable spacing, some shade. No cable or standard over air TV, but a good radio station. Water and pressure were good enough. We'll be back. We camped at Quail Run RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ely KOA, Ely, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects power only hook up. I got to Ely after a 12" snowfall. A full row of spaces had been plowed out as well as all access lanes. Manager went above and beyond making sure I had all that I needed for the cold weather, including propane. The wind added to the cold, but she was right there making sure all was right, and checked highway conditions before I left in the morning. I've had great service when RV'ing the past four years but none better than at this park. We camped at Ely KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

As suggested, the Nevada Hotel and Casino sent a courtesy car out of town to the park for no fee.

Anderson Camp , Eden, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed this park the first time we stayed here and were just as satisfied this time. The site we had only needed a little front to back leveling; the shade, grass, tables and centered hookup 'island' are well thought out and organized. The large grass field invited the dogs to run and play and the pool had the same effect on their owners. This is a great place to relax. We camped at Anderson Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We spent three nights here; roads are paved, sites are gravel, most using a block or two on lower side but pretty liveable without them, great water pressure. Well maintained, very clean public areas; excellent showers. Great hosts start the stay off right. Good washers and dryers; WiFi is weak at the lower end of the park. We'll be back. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Casa Malpais Campground and RV Park, Springerville, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This price reflects GS discount. We gave this property rating because of the new managers as much as the amenities. Great service, no grass, a few picnic tables, level gravel sites, some weeds, dated fixtures, some shade, good water, tv, and wi-fi. Clean restrooms and showers, clean laundry facilities; not a resort, but a comfortable, safe place to stay. Can't over state the conscientious, friendly, helpful service. We camped at Casa Malpais Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Internet discount. Great service from staff; shaded sites, relatively level at our gravel site. Clean bathroom and good shower - that could have used another couple hooks, but similar to most parks we've been in. Dog walk area looked a little snaky, but didn't see any day or night. We'll stop here first next time in the area. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lakeside RV and Campground, Provo, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Big park, nicely laid out, lots of grass. Long ways to the bath/shower area. Sites were level and well laid out for our trailer set up. The new dog run was a highlight for our dog. She hadn't been able to just run for over a week, so wanted to go there often. Ladies in the office were great. Can see why it was/is rated one of the best in the country. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground), Snowville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in late in the day and found plenty of spaces available. This is a high, open valley so expect cool winds. The dog picked up goat's heads (stickers) along the exterior road. The kill deers were nesting all around the exterior so the dog had lots of interesting distractions. The driving range was in great shape, but the wind kept folks off it (other than dog walkers). We'll stay in this nicely maintained, comfortable park again, with a longer fresh water hose. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Champoeg State Heritage Area, Newberg, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We camped on the far end in B loop and would do it again. Weak to nonexistent Verizon cell service, which wasn't all bad. The restrooms and showers were cleaned daily. Friendly staff. Lots of Oregon history to review. Short walk to the Willamette River and a great river walk. If you want FHU reserve early or plan a week day stay. We camped at Champoeg State Heritage Area in a Travel Trailer.
