Elkhart Campground, Elkhart, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nightly Rate based on monthly rate. We stayed here for two months. We were completely satisfied with this park. It's quiet and has sites with trees and some are completely open for satellite. The owners are friendly and appear to be upgrading the park continuously. They were putting on new metal roofing on their buildings while we were there. The grassy areas are mowed and trimmed on a weekly basis. Our site was a pull through which was very long and level. We camped at Elkhart Campground in a Motorhome.

Capulin RV Park & Camp, Capulin, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Good park for overnight stopover. Site was gravel and level. The only issue we had was we lost power several times in the 2AM to 4AM timeframe. Have no idea if this is normal or what. There were thunderstorms around 9PM to 10PM but nothing was going on when the power went out. We camped at Capulin RV Park & Camp in a Motorhome.

Manor RV Park, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Guided to the site and assisted backing in. This site was minimum width for our 40' motorhome, but adequate to back into. You have to be cautious of the sewer and water connections when parking. We were right on the river and it was wonderful to hear the rushing water at night. Stayed 3 nights but wish we would have had more time. We camped at Manor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you like salt water taffy, go to the Original Taffy Shop. Very friendly folks and outstanding taffy. Also try Baba's Burgers on Moraine Ave. Outstanding burgers but beware you had better be hungry if you order the double. They also have Gyros and chicken sandwiches.

Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground), Snowville, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Second time we have stayed here. Great for overnighters. Sites are level, 30 amp service only, good water pressure, self service check-in, some distance from Interstate so no noise, nice grass between sites. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

Leah's Landing (55+ park), Nampa, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

The rate shown was the result of staying one month.

Pros: Management was great, always willing to help; level sites with good utilities; lots of beautiful grass.

Cons: Aroma from sugar beet factory was terrible, traffic noise from Interstate, have to pass thru industrial area to get to park, wifi worked most of the time.

Other: Mostly permanent residents, we use satellite so don't have any idea about cable, didn't use any facilities except washer and dryer which is located in club house and worked fine, needed more than 25' power cable which we had. We camped at Leah's Landing (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Wagons West RV Park, Fillmore, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

The nightly rate was the result of staying a month ($400). This park is owned by a young couple who are continously working to improve the facilities. They are very nice and have a strong commitment to satisfy their customers. The park is well maintained and very quiet. All of the utilities were excellent. Easy access into the park and the pull through spaces are long. Our space was level. The only issue with the long pull through sites is that on half of them you pull in one direction and the other half in the opposite direction. It was very confusing for those over nighters entering after hours. The owners are working on resolving that issue. We camped at Wagons West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA, Gaffney, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The nightly rate is a result of staying monthly. Overall we were quite satisfied with the park. It's quiet and clean. The staff were very friendly and always willing to give any assistance needed. There seemed to be a lot of staff as you could always see them working around the park. The major negative is that many of the sites are not level. We actually had to place boards under one tire on our motorhome so it still made contact with the ground. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.

April Valley RV Park, Pickens, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park with two lakes, fishing and surrounded by trees. Very quiet and private. Gated security. The owner is very nice and honest. I accidentally gave her $20 too much and she came back to return it. The only negative is some of the sites are not very level. We couldn't set up in the first one because of this. If we are ever in this area again we definitely would stay here. We camped at April Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

I-10 Kampground, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Generally run down with many permanent residents. We were parked in one of the pull throughs at the front of the park. Tried to dump tanks but had to stop as they were having major problems with the septic system for this area of the park. Don't care to expand on that subject any more than I have to. Lots of noise during the day with traffic coming and going and sirens passing by on the street. Not a park I would recommend staying at. We camped at I-10 Kampground in a Motorhome.

KOC Kampground, New Iberia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A lot of permanent residents. The spaces have limited amounts of gravel, not sufficient for long RVs. Electrical connection is located at the front so a long electrical cable is required for big units. We camped at KOC Kampground in a Motorhome.

Cypress Bend RV Park, Iowa, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Great security. Pull-through was good but young trees need to be trimmed up as small branches hit the top of our unit when we pulled in. Staff was friendly and helpful. A convenience store and McDonalds are located right outside the gate. We camped at Cypress Bend RV Park in a Motorhome.
