The Lakes RV & Golf Resort, Chowchilla, California

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice resort. Stayed two nights on our way north, beautiful setting around the lake. Rate includes golf or you can choose a Good Sam discount if you are not a golfer. Sites are paved, lawn and shrubs in between the sites. Small concrete sitting area. Free Wi-Fi that worked perfect. Showers and restrooms are super clean. Would come back anytime. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Portland-Woodburn RV Park, Woodburn, Oregon

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Rate includes a Good Sam discount. Overnight stay. Pull through site long enough to not unhook. Showers and restrooms a bit dated, but very clean. Good for an overnight stop, close to Outlet Mall. If you would like a picnic table, you have to pay extra. We camped at Portland-Woodburn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sands RV and Golf Resort (55+ Park), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Rate based on monthly rate plus electricity. We asked for Internet when making the reservation, were told it works fine at all sites. Not so. It's Tengo and in our site it didn't work at all. We had to walk to the pool area. Sites are spacious, but with the set up of the hookups in the middle, there is lost space. Hedges between the sites for privacy. Sites not too level, need to fill up gravel. Well maintained, nice pool and spa area. Only 2 showers for the ladies, dated but clean. The guide to our site was very friendly, the receptionists gave us more the feeling of a doctors office. Nice 9 hole golf course. We camped at Sands RV and Golf Resort (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Lost Dutchman State Park, Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful setting in the Superstition Mountains. Spacious sites with picnic table and fire pit. All sites with hookups had reservations. They have an overflow area, dry camping, no reservations there. Clean showers and bathrooms, but very busy. Lots of hiking trails and close to Apache Junction shopping. We would come back. We camped at Lost Dutchman State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Caravan Oasis RV Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Rate includes a Good Sam discount. Found it very pricey for what you get for an overnight stay. And Wi-Fi wasn't even included. It's a gravel lot, pull through, full hookups, where everyone else just walks through. We arrived on a Sunday, office is closed on the weekends, no info about Wi-Fi etc. Pool area etc seems dated, but clean. We would not return. We camped at Caravan Oasis RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Bernardo Shores RV Park (CLOSED), Imperial Beach, California

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best campgrounds we know. The sites are huge, really long spot to put your rig, 2 parking spots and a cobblestone patio to sit on. Full hookups and Wi-Fi that actually works! Putting green and driving cage. Best location! Minutes to Coronado, easy access to San Diego attractions, walk to Imperial Beaches and public transit right at the front door. We would certainly come back, but maybe on a monthly rate. We camped at Bernardo Shores RV Park (CLOSED) in a Travel Trailer.

East Shore RV Park, San Dimas, California

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Rate includes a Good Sam discount. Great spot in busy LA area. Sites are paved, back in and pull through. We had an easy back-in site in the lower section, but there are quite a few sites that are very small and tricky to get into. Beautiful park, swimming, fishing, nice spot. We camped at East Shore RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
