Outdoor Resort - Palm Springs, Cathedral City, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $92.00
Overall Rating:

We rented (sight unseen) a fifth wheel for Feb 2017. If you choose to do that be careful!! The park is wonderful with pools, golf, club houses, various activities daily. It is not a dog friendly park with the approved areas either outside the gate or some small fenced area of astro turf that smells like a sewer. We were told horror stories of owners yelling at people walking their dogs in the middle of the streets. The unit we rented was old, dirty and stinky. It had leaked and the ceiling was decayed and with black streaks that looked like mold. The sink had also leaked and was very smelly. It was pointed out to us on our last day that the roof was repaired with a blue tarp and rocks. We complained to our rental agent about all the problems and never received any real satisfaction. We toughed it our rather than lose our $2652.00. Other than the grounds and amenities it was a very unpleasant experience. We camped at Outdoor Resort - Palm Springs in a Fifth Wheel.

Wandering Spirit RV Park, Grand Ronde, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Good Sam rating is way over done. All but 15 or 20 sites are long term campers with way too much "stuff" spread around. Many cats running all over the park, dogs not leashed, our site littered with cigarette butts as were a few other sites. Our site was not level from front to back or side to side. The park needs a lot of TLC. We camped at Wandering Spirit RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Gold RV Resort, Brenda, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while traveling on a 6 week trip. The park was nice but geared more towards retirees. No lawns anywhere in the park so walking your pet wasn't very nice. Pet friendly? Maybe just a little. Had to do that early in the morning and pick up poo from cement or rocks. Not the easiest thing to do. Staff was mildly friendly. Might even say a little standoffish. My sisters husband has Parkinson's and we had to leave early. We had paid for one week and were not told that we could not be reimbursed, even for medical reasons. So we stayed 2 days and paid $204.63. Wont stay there again and would warn everyone to only pay for a night at a time. We camped at Desert Gold RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Campers Inn RV & Golf Resort, Dunnigan, California

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I really don't know what to say---the pool has not been in service for years---the golf course is gone--there is no merchandise in the store. BUT I really like the park----very green-- a lot of trees and lawn. We were very comfortable. The access off the freeway is long but worth it. It would be a great park to try to build up again. I will stay again every chance I get. We camped at Campers Inn RV & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Our favorite RV park. There are not enough words to praise this park---it is great in every way. If you are a golfer do not miss the Myrtle Creek Golf Course up the road 5 miles. The park will shuttle you there with some advance notice. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.

Silver View RV Resort, Bullhead City, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A good park with a great view from where we were parked----the wind was blowing so hard we left after one night. Good pet area, but a long walk from where we parked. The office is a long way from the park entrance with many turns. This park is better suited for long term stays. We camped at Silver View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Newberry Mountain RV and Motel Park, Newberry Springs, California

Great park for what it is--the manager is super nice. The sites were good. There is a small lake in the middle of the park. A little sprucing up would help but overall a really good place to stay. We camped at Newberry Mountain RV and Motel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Palms River Resort, Needles, California

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Good Sam rating is 9/9/9.5, which must be self rated. Given the nonexistent restrooms and showers a 9 rating makes me wonder. We were parked in a gravel lot with a view of a storage building. I could not recommend this park to anyone. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course, Manteca, California

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is an OK place to stay for the night----did not check out the golf course, but it looked playable. I felt it was expensive for what we received. The lady at the check-in desk was rude and seemed to resent us taking her time. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Bakersfield Travel Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was great and the office/laundry/restrooms and pool looked good. The sites---not so much. Too many permanent residents--traffic in and out all night--little kids riding electric cars through our site. I have heard and used shared hookups but this place has shared sites--your front door and your neighbor's door look at each other with maybe 15 feet of separation. I would not stay here again. We camped at Bakersfield Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Gate RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $36.00

Great park----nice pet area---friendly staff. The continental breakfast they advertise isn't much, but then it is the only place that we have stayed that has one, so really nothing to compare. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
