Ledgeview RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great campground. Very well managed and maintained, very quiet, paved interior roads. Lots of seasonals, but all very well kept. A very good and quiet choice if you stay in the Lake George area. If there was wireless throughout the park it would be a "10". We will definitely be back. We camped at Ledgeview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake George RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

A very well organized and beautiful (though expensive) campground. Lots of activities and miles of trials for biking/hiking. Mostly level sites, seemed like plenty of room at most sites. The staff was efficient and professional enough, yet somewhat "distant". We will return here. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake George Escape Camping Resort, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $65.00

We stayed here twice this season. First visit had us in a site that was next to a swamp; unable to remain outside due to heavy mosquito infestation. Pool was too cloudy to safely use. We chalked it all up to fate and decided to try it again. On the morning of our second visit, front desk called my home at 10 am to say that they were "booked" and that our reservation was now cancelled. Trailer was loaded in the driveway, kids were excited, and now no campsite. Woman on phone said that she was sorry. I wouldn't accept "sorry", so she said that maybe something might open up. I drove up there anyway, received a site, and counted no less than 30 open sites. Bring lots of $, as everything is extra. There are better options in Lake George than this place. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Brook N Wood Family Campground, Elizaville, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Not a bad little campground, a great launching point to see the sights of the Hudson Valley. The new owner has done a lot of work here and continues to improve on the years of neglect from the previous owners. Some sites can be tight, but they are all pretty well maintained. Owners will go out their way to make your stay enjoyable. We camped at Brook N Wood Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
