Diamond Lake Resort, Owensboro, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean, well-maintained park with several small lakes so attractive location. Kind of off the beaten path but worth the trip. Super nice staff--helped my husband retrieve keys out of a locked vehicle in 120 degree (heat index) heat! Park is very large so internet was spotty. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the amenities of the park plus the temperature didn't permit outside activities. This did not look like a park in a state of decline as other reviews have suggested. Quite the opposite. Would love to return if ever in the area. We camped at Diamond Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice staff. Well kept. No pool but a nice pond with beach and slide the kids seemed to be having a good time in. It was kind of far for all the activities in Cleveland (30 miles or so) but one of the better ones we could find in that area. Probably 30 miles back to Canton and the Football Hall of Fame which was also on our itinerary. In a very nice area with what appeared to be very expensive homes surrounding it. Close to shopping (Target, Wal-Mart). We would return if in the area again. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Rippling Waters Church Of God Campground, Romance, West Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Three miles off the highway but it's a nice overnight stay. Very friendly staff. This is a Christian camp so certain codes of behavior are in place. If you have faith you will love the peaceful setting. A picturesque chapel on a small lake with water fountains. It's pretty during the day, but breathtaking at night with lights shining on the chapel and fountains. We felt in the presence of God. Also home to lots of fulltimers. We enjoyed our one night layover here. Would go back. We camped at Rippling Waters Church Of God Campground in a Motorhome.

EZ Daze RV Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here when visiting relatives in the area. Easy access on and off I-55. Clean, newer park but very limited pull through sites. All three times we have stayed here, we had to disconnect car and back in. But streets are all paved and wide so it's not really a problem. No shade and it seems the pads are angled in such a way that you take full hit in the morning and afternoon (from one side to the other). Our ice partially thawed from taking direct hit from morning sun on the refrigerator side of Motorhome. Used awning in the afternoon to somewhat protect us from sun. But all in all, a very sufficient park for a few days stay. Price is ok and would stay here again. We camped at EZ Daze RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cummins Ferry Campground & Marina, Salvisa, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful RV park. Kind of far off road (5.2 miles) but well worth the inconvenience. Riverfront, very pretty, well-maintained, friendly owners. We happened to be here for the fourth of July and they had lots of activities planned including a fireworks show on the 3rd. We weren't expecting much but after taking our lawn chairs down to the river to watch the "bottle rockets," we were shocked at how impressive the firework display was. Our hat is off to the owners. First time we have ever seen those kind of fireworks without the 10's of thousands of people to go along with it! Didn't have a boat but they have a ramp to get into the water if you have one. We would love to visit this campground again. We camped at Cummins Ferry Campground & Marina in a Motorhome.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Had to get premium site because of low availability. Would have been happy with a regular site. But all in all, worth the money. Very nice staff, super nice office, store, game room and laundry. My husband and I hadn't played ping pong in years: we really enjoyed it and the free jukebox. Had pool tables, TV area, arcade, card tables plus lots of games for kids to do outside. We could really picture bringing our grandkids and never leaving the campground. Had a 50's/60's band that played on Wednesday nights that we really enjoyed. Close to a lot of attractions including the Opry. Would love to come again. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We had premium site 5 and it was well worth the additional cost. The view was the most beautiful we've ever enjoyed in 15 years of RVing! Management was very welcoming, even when we arrived hours before our scheduled check-in. Note: There is a very firm 3:00 pm check-in so all the folks checking-out can clear the fairly tight mountain road before new folks start driving up. We promise to remember the rules when we return and we definitely will return! We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice staff; however, we specifically asked for a site that would be satellite and Wi-Fi friendly. Got set up only to find that we can't use the satellite and the Wi-Fi is spotty at best. But the park is very clean and well-maintained although we felt it was a little expensive. The site was definitely big enough to handle our motorhome and tow car just fine. Very close to a lot of Nashville attractions. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Loretta Lynn's Family Campground, Hurricane Mills, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stop for us, but we really enjoyed Ms. Loretta's RV park. The property is very wooded and the park is well thought out and attractive. We enjoyed driving around the property and the tour of the mansion and a replica of her childhood home. We did not have time to visit her museum but would like to on another trip. It is about 7 miles from I-40 but we thought it was worth the side trip. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay at this KOA. It was very wooded and seemed isolated although we were just off a major highway. Therefore, we did have some road noise to contend with but it was not bad. The management was very helpful and welcoming and the store and snack/ice cream bar was clean and inviting. We enjoyed an after dinner ice cream cone very much. We would have given this park a 10 but the rigs were packed pretty close together. We would stay here again. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Motorhome.
