We spent two weeks at this park in March. The rate shown above was the off-season rate with good sam discount; we paid this amount for the last 2 days of our stay. For the first 12 days, we paid the in-season rate, which was $64 with the good sam discount. We have spent many weeks at this park over the last 2 years as it is convenient to family who live in Bradenton. Winter Quarters Manatee is clean and well-maintained. Staff are friendly as are the many snowbirds who frequent the park. The park includes a nice, well-shaded dog area and two swimming pools. Winter Quarters Manatee is close to I-95 and thus some of the sites are noisy but since the park is so big we have never had a problem getting a site that was away from the freeway and thus much quieter. Park is not far from Walmart and other shopping centers.

We spent two nights here as we visited the McDonald Observatory and explored Ft. Davis. This park was OK but frankly I would not stay here again if I had other options in Ft. Davis. The park was clean, and the campground host was helpful, but the campground office was never open and we never saw campground management. The men's room was out of order when we got there and one of the clothes washers was broken. Our visit left me wondering if the park was planning on closing soon. There were a lot of full-timers there; perhaps the park is staying open for them.

We spent 5 nights here as we explored Big Bend National Park. It's a great location if you are going to Big Bend, as Stillwell is right outside the park. However, if Alpine is your destination, pick another park, as Stillwell is far from Alpine! We loved this place. It is very unvarnished -- when we first drove up and saw the old trailers that apparently house some of the staff, we wondered how this place could have gotten such good ratings. However, once we got set up and wandered around, we understood why other people had given it good reviews. There's a real charm to this place, which is in the middle of nowhere. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. There is a wonderful stash of beautiful rocks for sale outside the office and Texas memorabilia is everywhere. When you do your laundry, you can sit on a bench outside the laundry room and read from the laundry room's stack of western novels. In the evenings, people line dance to country music outside the Hattie Stillwell museum. The museum is definitely worth a visit; just get the key from the office. If we go back to Big Bend, we will definitely stay at Stillwell again.

We stayed here one night while we explored Carlsbad Caverns. This was not my first choice of RV parks in the area because it is a KOA and I generally find KOAs to be mediocre parks at best and overpriced. Also, this park is not terribly close to Carlsbad Caverns (or Carlsbad for that matter). However, this was one of the better KOAs in which I've stayed. Staff was friendly and helpful with information on local attractions. Park was clean and well-maintained, and our site was level (a first for us at KOAs). Our dog was given a dog biscuit on arrival, a nice touch, and you could get BBQ delivered to your door (we didn't try it). Although the price for one night was KOA-high, we enjoyed the park and didn't regret staying there.

We stayed in this park for two nights while we explored Roswell. Staff was pleasant and helpful; we were there over a weekend and so were invited to participate in the community yard sale. Lots of full timers in the park. The park was clean, but there was a bad odor at our site that made it difficult to keep the windows of our RV open. Could not tell whether the odor was attributable to the park or to the region in general, since southeastern NM is home to many oil fields and refineries.

We stayed here two nights on our way to NM. We used this RV park as our base for exploring Ft. Worth. This was a good place to stay, as it was convenient to Ft. Worth and close to shopping. Staff was very helpful; they provided us maps and information on Ft. Worth attractions. Glad to see another RV with concrete pads that make leveling so easy.

We stayed here one night on our way to NM. Excellent RV park -- most notably, all sites are concrete pads, making leveling easy. Very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We bought propane here on our way out. Only downside is that park is on a hill so if you have a long motorhome, like we do, you may scrape bottom on your way out.

We stayed here for one night on our way to NM. Park was ok but somewhat run down in appearance. It was raining like mad when we got there, and there were big puddles in lots of places. Took me a while to find a staff person to check us in and staff was not terribly friendly. OK for one-night stay but no more than that.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We stayed here one night on our way home from CA. Park convenient to I-80. A cowboy in a goff cart led us to the site. Free coffee in the am. Propane available on site. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Rate reflects 30 amp service. We spent one night here on our way home from CA. This is a good, no-frills campground. Campground and restrooms are clean. Although the registration process is self-service, the campground owner came by to greet us and make sure we were settled in. Only disadvantage is the road noise -- campground is very close to I-29. Would stay here again if in the area.
