Fort Boonesborough State Park, Richmond, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

I hadn't been to this State Park for over 30 years, was amazed at how clean and nice everything was. This has become our CG to stay at now when visiting friends. The bath house is new and very clean, the grounds were mowed. There is a ton of stuff to do in the park itself. Will definitely be back. We camped at Fort Boonesborough State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

First time being at this park and will definitely return. They had snow days before we checked in and rain most of the time we were there, they went out of their way to lay straw around the dog park where there was mud. Great dog park, there were 2 of them. There are some full time campers but everything looked nice. They even had a dog wash station, first time seeing one of those at a CG. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Willow Tree Resort and Campground, Longs, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

This is my favorite Campground ever! Sites are more than enough and are positioned so you are not looking at other campsites but the beautiful lake on the property. Showers/bathroom were very clean as well as the entire campground. Easy walk/bike paved trail around the lake and plenty to do for adults and children. Only 20 miles from Myrtle beach but they have their own beach on site, very quiet and relaxing. We plan on going back to this one next year. We camped at Willow Tree Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Sea Captain's Table in Myrtle Beach was an excellent choice for seafood, although a little pricey but we went for lunch.

Deer Run RV Resort, Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time of staying at this park and we will be returning. Big sites, beautiful lake view, lots of deer and very quiet. Our site did have a huge hornets nest that was a little scary but they didn't bother us. Would give this park a 10 if there was a fenced in pet walk, definitely have the room to put in more than one. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Cumberland Mountain State Park, Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We will definitely go back to this park, big sites, easy access and lots to do. The restaurant in the park is very good if you like buffet style and you can walk to it from the CG. All the sites we saw were upgraded to include 50 AMP, would be nice if they would add more sewer hookups. We will make plans to go next year. We camped at Cumberland Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

I gave this a 6 only because of the road throughout the CG, big chucks of rock/pavement/gravel and was very hard to walk on. I was told they are in the process of having it paved but due to bad weather it has been put on hold. The bathrooms are the best of any CG we have stayed at, we didn't use but did check them out. They were very clean and every shower stall was a room with toilet, sink, chair and shower. I wish all CG's were like this. Kids playground looked new, this park has a lot of potential if the owner's will keep working on it. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fall Creek Falls State Park, Spencer, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We liked the campground overall but had a problem with our site (A15). It was going against the flow of the road and took us almost an hour to get in. We noticed that other big rigs had the same problem in section A. Section B looks a lot better for our 36' RV. CG was very busy but didn't feel like you were crammed in, lots of room. We will go back! We camped at Fall Creek Falls State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA, Sweetwater, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best KOA’s we have stayed at and very reasonable pricing. It has large sites, fenced in dog area, playground for kids and rentals. Very quiet not like the normal KOA’s. There are several full timers but they keep them separate from regular campers, we didn't even know they were there unless we walked our dogs. We only live 30 minutes away and will definitely be back to this one. The rate we got was with us using the KOA card and we had some points saved up, the site we had was a deluxe site and it was about $55.00 per night. We camped at Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA in a Travel Trailer.
