Pelican Point RV Park, Half Moon Bay, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved a week at this campground back in February and were really looking forward to our stay! Quite disappointed once we got here! Many RV's look as if they have been here for quite some time. There are several trees..no grass or flowers, which one would expect at the beach! They squeezed us into a space that was so small my husband had to take off the lift and my mobility scooter in order to fit into the site. They did provide us with personnel to help us back into our spot, and it still took my husband a good 15 minutes to get backed into our spot (that was on top of the 5+ minutes it took him to take off the scooter and lift!) Our supposed "yard" is a very uneven patch of dirt & totally dead grass with a nice big Chevy truck right next to us! If we're lucky, my husband won't catch the trailer on fire when BBQ ing dinner! Definitely will not be back here again...the only plus to this place is that it is very near the beach. If you have any disabilities or you have an over 32 foot rig, this is not a

the park you want to stay in! We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Huge park with huge spaces, but no trees. Quite a stark area and Hot! Pool was old & had lots of insects in it. When we checked in we were told there was no water, but it would be fixed in a couple of hours. The next morning after we packed up & were ready to leave, we found out from a neighbor that water had just started working! Management never went around to inform people of the water situation! We pulled out with dirty dishes and no showers! Will not return to this place! We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Elmer Thomas Rec Area (LETRA) (Military FamCamp), Lawton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice area by lake, but no shade trees. Large spaces, but no cable & had to be outside to get 4G cell service. It's on Ft. Sill so it's a bit of a hassle getting on & off base and the artillery being shot will shake your rv some! Park has nice facilities & play areas for kids! Not sure if we'll stay there again. Don't like not having use of my phone. We camped at Lake Elmer Thomas Rec Area (LETRA) (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 2 nites. Nice little place, although sites are very close to one another. Friendly owner, grounds nicely kept. Lots of shade trees & cool during summer. Laundry facilities need to be redone & enlarged. Definitely would come here again if we could get a reduced price weekly rate...kind of expensive when paying nightly. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Quartz Mountain Nature Park, Lone Wolf, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful area with lots of deer. If you're a nature buff, it's a great place! No cable or WiFi or 4G phone. Spaces are plenty big. Plenty of flying insects! This campground, as well as several Oklahoma campgrounds, are full of traveling workers and not that many vacationers. We'd probably stay here again, after we buy a satellite dish. We camped at Quartz Mountain Nature Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Plains State Park, Mountain Park, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Big sites, but no sewer on tear next to lake. They advertise 50 amp service, but we found out that there is only ONE site with 50 amp. No cable, was able to get 4G though. As with other Oklahoma campgrounds, park was mostly full of traveling workers, not many tourists. The major problem with this place is that it is VERY BUGGY! Won't return there due to that reason. You really couldn't be outdoors much. We camped at Great Plains State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
