Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

No Internet, No cable, 30 amp "pull thrus" are NOT close to level, front to back or side to side, nor are they long enough to stay hooked up for an overnight stay. No TV reception. Cute new lighted KOA electrical boxes. Night time campground is poorly lit and markings for sites unreadable from vehicle. Map is useless. Office closed at 820pm. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hayes State Park, Onsted, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

On line check in was easy enough. Site was small but easy to maneuver. Over Forth of July, I never saw anyone over the age of 25 working in the campground. Never saw anyone patrolling. Dogs are supposed to be on a six foot leash, most were not. Beach area was clean, but again unsupervised. Here most dogs were on 25 foot ropes, if not running free. Trash receptacles are non existent except for two small dumpsters, yet the grounds were fairly clean. We camped at Hayes State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sarasota Bay RV Park (55+ park), Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Sarasota Bay is ruled by the resident owned Paradise Bay. Rules, written and unwritten are enforced or ignored with no logic. Although they advertise 300 sites, in reality there are less than 100 as the majority are park models. Office staff in Sara Bay is outstanding, can't say the same for Para Bay. Extended stays here are the norm, and once you are in, you can reserve your site for 3 or more months for next year, prior to Feb. There are no shade trees. HOWEVER..This is a great community for those who return. On site there are bowling, shuffle, bocce, pool leagues, cards and games every night, current movies every Saturday. Boat docks and storage available, $405.00 yearly. Biking distance to Gulf beaches and restaurants. Wireless is absolutely useless, down more than up but Brighthouse is available to install internet or cable usually on a days notice. We have been returning for ten years and have noticed many changes and will return. Have recommended to others. No mail service, but Cortez P.O. is a mile away. Considering all the amenities this is the best value in the area, if you can get in. Para Bay is on the intercoastal and the marina is walking/bicycle distance from the furthest site. We camped at Sarasota Bay RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Hill and Hollow Campground, Pentwater, Michigan

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

WHAT A DEAL.... Off season rates during the week. The ONLY draw back is the area is so densely forested, it makes it hard to line up a satellite dish, as no cable is available We camped at Hill and Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Coloma / St. Joseph KOA, Riverside, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Close to town, but far enough away to be quiet. Camped there with a group of retirees and stayed there for a week. Kids came in on weekends and stayed in tents. Management very easy to work with and set up our entire group. We camped at Coloma / St. Joseph KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
