Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Location is within walking distance of Wall Drug. All sites are pull-through, but closely spaced. Lots of standing water and some sites were muddy. Worked well for an overnight stay. Easy access off I-90. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cottonwood COE, Crofton, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Senior Pass discount. Typical COE campground with lots of trees, paved access roads and gravel sites. The pull-through was a little tight for our 37' motor home due to the sharp bend. Like most it gets very busy on weekends and holidays, but we called and were able to get a walk-up site. We camped at Cottonwood COE in a Motorhome.

Haworth Park, Bellevue, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground with well spaced paved sites. Not much shade. Very strong, free Wi-Fi. The trailer/office at the entrance is not manned, but has a computer set up to make a reservation. There is an on-site host who will assist in getting a spot and directing you to it. Lots of walking trails around the park and along the river. Has boat launch and picnic areas. We camped at Haworth Park in a Motorhome.

The Campus RV Park, Independence, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Another somewhat off the beaten track campground, but nestled right in the Independence downtown area. All the sites have concrete pads and full hook-ups. The laundry is clean and only costs $1 for the washer and dryer. Use 500 W. Pacific for your GPS address to take you to the entrance. We camped at The Campus RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dam Site River Campground COE, Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Got a walk-up site in the Park (far north) area. Only had 30 amp, but the weather was cool. Also no water at the site, but fill stations close-by. Very nice paved and shaded sites with lots of space between them. As noted previously the river isn't really accessible from the campground, but there is a parking lot and walk-in access to the river at the end of the road. Rate reflects Senior Pass. We camped at Dam Site River Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Shady Oaks Campground & RV Park, Harrison, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Some of the sites have tight access trying to navigate around the many trees. I managed on two tries to make the turn into the site. All roads and parking sites are gravel. The sewer connection was actually higher than the tank outlet, so dumping the tank was a bit of a problem. The 50 amp service had only 108 VAC on one leg so I had to use the 30 amp outlet. The owner is very nice and accommodating and offers a 15% discount for Veterans. Had to pay cash for a one night stay. Lots of bikers staying at the campground, but noise wasn't a problem. We camped at Shady Oaks Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Maumelle COE, Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice COE park on the river. Lots of shade and space between sites. Park is a ways off the main road, but the access roads are plenty wide and no overhanging trees. Pinnacle Mountain Park is only a couple miles up the road and the River Trail access is close by for biking or walking. Rate reflects Senior Pass. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

Toad Suck Campground COE, Conway, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Needed a one night, walk-up site due to the holiday weekend. They use a parking lot as an over-flow area. It has 30 amp service but no water at the site. Very nice park with well separated sites, shade, and close to the river. Rate reflects Senior Pass. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice paved pull-through paved sites but the access roads are crushed gravel and the stirred up dust covered our MH and tow vehicle just getting to our site. Was told they were full and the rate non-negotiable; however, there were many sites open. Nice location right on the river, but not worth the price. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Togetherness Works RV Park, Guin, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

An off-the-beaten track campground for sure. Not a lot to do close by, but it works for an overnight stay. We were told the site was a pull-through, but because of the location of the hook-ups, I had to back up to make the turn-out when leaving. I would recommend disconnecting a tow vehicle on the entrance road, before starting up to the site. Very nice couple as owners trying to keep things neat and tidy. Nothing really for kids other than lots of woods to roam around in. We camped at Togetherness Works RV Park in a Motorhome.

Togetherness Works RV Park, Guin, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

An off-the-beaten track RV Park. Okay for an overnight stay since there aren't many campgrounds in this area. Access roads are narrow with steep ditches on both sides, but we didn't have trouble getting our 37' RV to a site at the top of the hill. Would recommend disconnecting tow vehicle before starting up to sites. Very quiet and secluded but no amenities, bathroom or shower. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Led us to the site and help get us parked. Payment is with cash or checks only. We camped at Togetherness Works RV Park in a Motorhome.

Houston County Farm Center, Dothan, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing fancy here, but a good spot for a quick overnight. All sites are grass and mostly level. There are two areas with hook-ups. Up-top, close to the buildings are 13 pull-through sites with 50/30 amp, water and sewer. Along the fence are another 15 back in sites with full hook-ups as well. Down the dirt road to the lower level is another area with multiple back-in sites, but only some have sewer hook-ups. Pay at the double wide trailer across the parking lot behind the building with arches. The previous review posted office hours are correct. Would stay here again as an en-route stop. We camped at Houston County Farm Center in a Motorhome.

Travelers Rest RV Resort and Golf Course, Dade City, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet, out of the mainstream but not far off I75. We camped in the rally area with an FMCA club. The rally area is grass covered but fairly level and well maintained but no shade. Full hook-ups with 50 amp and free cable TV. The WiFi was strong and accessible at the site. You are escorted to your site with parking assistance. The pool, showers and restrooms are very clean and well appointed. The nine-hole golf course green fee was included in the rate. Stayed here in a motor home. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Travelers Rest RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Eastbank COE, Bainbridge, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Another great ACE campground. Easy access and good signage. Sites were packed gravel so even with the long hard rain, our site drained well. Sites are well laid out with a good view of the lake. Little bit of a hoof to get to the restroom and shower, but well maintained and clean. We camped at Eastbank COE in a Motorhome.
