Elks Lodge #1558 (Members Only), Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very primitive rv site with pot holed gravel roads and trying entry/exit. The electrical hook up is 30amp, not 50 as stated. My wife was never challenged to show membership proof on entry to the lodge. We ran into another motorhome that was here when we arrived parked at the local Walmart, which frankly is far superior to the Elks site is you have a generator. We will definitely not stay here again. We camped at Elks Lodge #1558 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Carlsbad caverns about 20 miles away but you need to be fit to walk the entire caves - do not arrive mid-afternoon as the wait line to get the escalator back to the surface is 2 hours!!

Canyon Gateway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Why this park gets more than one star baffles me. It is obviously a housing area for campers. The trailers and motorhomes are old and all have significant trash outside - - a couple intending to stay for a week drove around and took off post haste. If we had done a "drive through", we would have done the same thing. This place is awful! Williams is a wonderful town and the hour drive to the Grand Canyon are the only positives I can mention about this place. Do not believe the positive reviews about this park. I wouldn't pay more than $5 a night and actually would rather stay at a Walmart. We will never come back to this campground. We camped at Canyon Gateway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nothing to do...in the immediate area. For places to eat and shopping, you must drive into Williams, which is an adorable old town! It is so unique to just walk down "Route 66".... great stores. It is sad that I can't find one positive thing to say about this campground..

Ozark View RV Park, Omaha, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Can't add much to all the other reviews - can only agree. I needed a shower drain which I could not find in any Lowes. HD or hardware store ,the owner went on line, found the correct one and had it delivered before we left. The most pleasant owner/managers of any campground we have yet found. 20 minutes from Branson and if you visit (highly recommended) Don't miss the Pierce Arrow show! We camped at Ozark View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Do the Timeshare or Vacation tour to get a great price break on shows (2 hours but worth it) we did 4 shows for $40. Pierce Arrow #1, Rick Thomas #2, Million Dollar Quartet #3 & Buckets & Boards #4 ( great for kids)
