Schoodic Woods Campground, Winter Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful place. Very long and wide spots. Electric is 50 amp and there is water at each site. There are no sewers but a dump station is available. Paved roads with flat gravel sites. Park seems very new. Most sites separated with good size trees. We camped at Schoodic Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Small town of Winter Harbor was close with small grocery, post office, 4-5 restaurants. We saw two open for breakfast. There is a lobster festival in Mid-August. They also have 5 & 10 variety store and a number of nice churches. There is a golf course in town with an ocean view.

High Plains Camping, Oakley, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We will probably stop here again for an overnight stay. But not in late Summer and Fall. The grass had just been mowed and the owners were very nice. But the stickers were just horrible. I had them in my socks and our poor dog was in pain. The pull thrus were a good length with plenty of room for our slide-outs. The roads were gravel and bumpy. But this park is right off the highway and easy to get to. We camped at High Plains Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Downstream RV Park, Quapaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great one night stop. Good access from the Interstate. It is a concrete parking lot. It is level with electric & water. There is a dump station. This campground is free if you get a Players Card. This card also gets you a discount on the buffet. There is a lot of noise from the trucks that also spend the night here. But at this price, I can't complain. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

River View Campground, Owatonna, Minnesota

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The entrance road and sights are gravel/dirt. The Campground is rustic and located on the Straight River. There are full hook-ups, good WiFi and limited over-the-air stations that came in clear. The management was very friendly. We camped at River View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Crossroads RV Park, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The entrance road and long sites are gravel. The management was friendly. The park is nice for a night or two, it's not scenic. But the park is clean and neat. The price we paid was with a Good Sam discount. We camped at Crossroads RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
