Santa Maria Pines RV Park (Closed), Santa Maria, California

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Too pricy for what you get! Pool was too cold to swim in! Amusement park (go karts, etc.) right next door...noisy on weekends. We camped at Santa Maria Pines RV Park (Closed) in a Tent Trailer.

Too pricy for what you get--just a parking spot! "Heated" pool was too cold to swim in. WI-FI was lousy! Cable TV connection did not work! Couldn't wait to get out of this place! We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Cave Creek Regional Park, Cave Creek, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an awesome park--away from it all, yet still convenient! Beautiful, well-spaced out sites. Lots to do in the park: hike, horse-back riding, etc. and the Visitor Center has great displays and info. Heard coyotes in the distance at night. Park staff are wonderful! Quite a bargain for such amenities. The bathrooms were immaculate and separate private, locking showers with a water-saver spigot was more than adequate for a really good shower. A real "gem" for camping in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. We camped at Cave Creek Regional Park in a Tent Trailer.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is convenient if you are planning on touring the nearby Meteor Crater. We were fortunate to arrive just as the office was closing, otherwise I don't know if we would have been able to stay here--they have a locked entry gate. The sites are well-spaced and the overall feeling of the park is pleasant. Free coffee at the office in the morning. The rest rooms were GREAT...immaculate unisex, locking shower/sink/toilet compartments which is convenient for families with children. The outdoor sink for washing dishes was not connected yet (too cold), but that would be a nice feature. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again, except that once you've seen the Meteor Crater--there's NOTHING else in the immediate area. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Blue Spruce RV Park, Grants, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Well-located campground for area tourist activities. VERY friendly staff and we considered this a great deal! There is only 1 women's and 1 men's restroom. It is private and very clean, but if someone is using it you have to wait until it's available. Laundry in office area was very economical and pleasant area to wait until laundry's done. Not very aesthetic park, but it met our needs comfortably. We camped at Blue Spruce RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Turquoise Triangle RV Park, Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park with a lot of permanent resident sites. Felt very much like a "neighborhood". VERY friendly staff and welcome gifts given. The "lounge" was a bonus area to be able to stretch out and search Internet (very good Wi-Fi connectivity) or read. Laundry was fine and bathrooms were clean. Lots of shopping and dining nearby. You have a very busy road to pull onto, so keep that in mind when making a left turn. We camped at Turquoise Triangle RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Canyon Gateway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff and convenient location. The after hours check-in process is the BEST! Rest rooms were immaculate. The laundry room was well set up to use Wi-Fi (excellent connection), etc. while waiting for laundry to be done. Bonus coupons available for use at adjacent gas station. There is construction work (excavating, etc.) at the adjacent property which will go on for a while creating daytime noise, dust, etc. Williams is a great little town and convenient for all the tourist attractions around there. We camped at Canyon Gateway RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $35.00

Lovely, quiet setting just outside Pagosa Springs. Very friendly staff. Excellent WiFi connectivity and great laundry room facilities. Restrooms were immaculate. Fire rings and tables at each site. Sound of the rushing stream was soothing. Wish we could have stayed longer. Paddle boats for rent and fishing at the pond. A real Gem!! We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Tent Trailer.

High Sierra RV & Campground, Oakhurst, California

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Very abrupt and rude desk clerk "greeted" us upon arrival. Sites are Very cramped and you are elbow to elbow with your "neighbor". A $20.00 key deposit is required for the rest rooms and is returned when key is turned in. Office hours are 9am-5pm, so if you are breaking camp early you need to keep that in mind. Dump station also has to be unlocked to use. The stream and waterfall area are nice and the frogs singing at night was pleasant. We camped at High Sierra RV & Campground in a Tent Trailer.

It was a HOT day in April and the pool was not "balanced" and ready to open yet. Bathrooms and laundry were just OK. No atmosphere to speak of. We camped at Crazy Horse RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Summit RV Park, Trinidad, Colorado

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Located on a hill behind a motel. Continental breakfast (waffles, etc.= very good) is included in price, so that was a plus. NO atmosphere to speak of, although the lobby had a fantastic view. Bathroom use is limited to what was once a motel room. Your shower/toilet facility is private and lockable and towels, shampoo were provided. However, if someone else is using it, you're out of luck! We thought it was pricey for what was provided. Wi-Fi connectivity was good. We camped at Summit RV Park in a Tent Trailer.
